  1. WOW. I felt like I was reading about myself this morning. I filed 10 months ago (December 2023) for my Honduran husband and have been waiting also, which is all we can do at this point. The other responses are correct, you can't just change to DCF. I have to give notice to my school I teach at (here in Honduras) within the next month as to whether or not I am returning the following school year. In the mean time, we also have political unrest here that has my husband and I nervous about the US Embassy here in relations to Honduras... (probably over thinking it). We came up with a plan to not become separated at all or if separated, for a very short time, but it will require a joint sponsor. The immigration process is not for the weak for sure- and I have found that sometimes overthinking every little detail makes it worse. You can submit an expedite request, because it is free, or just wait it out, because the time is approaching for your I130 to be approred very soon!
  2. Fellow December 2023 filer (9th) and I am still waiting also. We will be approved around January/February 25.
  3. Under Evidence - Additional Proof of marriage Under Evidence - Additional Proof of marriage
  4. Thanks! I misunderstood.
  5. In your online account- go to documents tab and then click on Unsolicited Documents- and you can add what you what there.
  6. I think it was here or somewhere else where I read, a case waits in line for months, when it gets to an officer they have an allotted 30 minutes to review the case, and it takes only 15 to 20 minutes for a decision to be made....😆 All this waiting for a 20 minute review...😆
  7. Unsolicited evidence does not push your case further into the pile. I am a December 2023 filer and have been loading more evidence all along. Your PD is what is important. Active review just means your case was opened and put in line. When you get a 2nd active review, about 2 or 3 days later you get a decision.
  8. I agree that the whole thread is made up of assumptions. It is bold statement to say that legal immigration will be suspended- I have yeat to hear anything like that.
  9. I have colleague that is in the NVC stage and she had this problem. She tried a different browser and it worked!
  10. Everything will go well for you. I don't think any major changes to legal immigration will happen.
  11. Do you have a source that says legal immigration with be suspended? Or is this an assumption you are making?
  12. Drop the agency and do it yourself. It seems like they are the ones causing the stress, and you haven't even submitted your paperwork yet.
  13. Not everyone wants to live in the US...
  14. I would let it go an move on... Easier said than done but that says a lot about a person's character.
  15. I saw today some late June cases getting approved. I am sure yours will be soon!
  16. It seems like you are still within normal processing times- however, the fact your case has not even been actively reviewed at least once is concerning. I think I read on this forum once about someone who reached out directly to the Department of State and the White House- with good results. Hope you get some answers soon...
  17. File online. It is nearly impossible to make these mistakes when you do, because the system will not receive with blank areas.
  18. This is me, I overthink everything too! I 2nd the positive encouragement to the OP. I have not been through the entire process myself, but I am petitioning from a developing country that has a reputation. I had a friend whose husband ended up in 5 months of admin processing at the embassy, and still got the visa. This is one of those things where if you have a genuine relationship there is no reason to worry! 🙂
  19. Because their job is to serve the public, for a variety of reasons. Should I be contacting them 9 months into my process? No. 3 years later with no answers? Absolutely! Not to override security checks, but some people are being treated according to the law during this process.
  20. I have to agree, I was a little shocked reading this too. It is not going to resolve any issues.
  21. I would not recommend transferring careers into something you do not enjoy doing. This will only aggravate you more. Find something you are passionate about. It seems that you have the perfect setup, able to live with your family, but pride is getting in the way. I know when my husband and I arrive, we will not have the luxury to live with family long-term. It will be more of a short time, waiting for an apartment or house to be approved and lights turned on. I suggest you enjoy this freedom for now, and he needs to stop worrying about the kitchen.
  22. I have to agree with the previous commenter. This ultimatum should have been your out. The dating period is to see whether or not someone is a good fit.
  23. Passive aggressive behavior. Passive aggressive behavior. That is abuse.
  24. December filer here...Not many people get approved before the one year mark. MOST of us wait many months. Not as many people are being approved as you may think.
