Evidence for Bonafide marriage
KMG replied to Efficient Lettuce's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
I am the petitioner (wife) and my husband is Honduran. I have a good teaching job here (In Honduras) making US dollars and my husband makes Lempiras at his government job. I have been transferring money to his account for some classes he is taking, and uploading the transfers as evidence. He gives me money for various different things but usually gives it to me in cash. We have 2 separate bank accounts because direct deposits work differently here with employers. Yes, I am the main bread winner of the the relationship, it is what it is. Because we don't have joint accounts I uploaded a Will I wrote for the state of Florida and both of our names are on the apartment lease, here in Honduras. I think you will be fine. My marriage is valid, so I am not too worried about it. Upload the transfer documents, added with other pieces of evidence and I believe you will be fine. We have a 4 year age difference. -

Can you go to Germany to get the mammogram? -
Also, I am wondering if you can get all your missing information (USCIS number) through FOIA. https://www.foia.gov/. You have a right to that receipt number because the I130 has your personal information on it, (SSN, etc.). Please do report the cousin.

File for divorce immediately! When you report this I would make mention of the cousin as well, being it seems he was involved. I am so sorry this has happened to you.

How to cope with adjusting status?
KMG replied to Hughughug333's topic in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
I understand not wanting to impose. Hoping your AOS gets approved soon! Not sure if English is your Native language, but if it is not perhaps you could offer some online language tutoring- not sure how you would charge though, being you are still in AOS. -
How to cope with adjusting status?

Little bit of advice - the bedroom belongs to both of you "our bedroom". The house- because his family has opened their home to you, I assume you have access to the whole house? Do they work? Maybe ask them "Is there anything I can clean or do while you all are are at work?" Can I cook you this dish from my home country? (Assuming you haven't already done this...). Find a hobby too... Ask your husband to bring something home for you to do during the day, sketchpad and some pencils... go outside and draw! Or yarn and some needles and open youtube and learn some skills. Cheers! -
I am in similar situation, and posed a similar question on another thread I created. I have asked one couple to be our joint sponsor, and my husband and I have a list of others we can ask also. Understandably, this is deeply personal information, with a fear mongering contract attached, so I got the "we will think about it and let you know." I am a teacher, so I need to leave by August of next year, after gaining a new contract in the US (I have been teaching internationally for 6 years now. My plan is to hopefully gain a joint sponsor by the time we get to the NVC ( I am a December 23 filer), and eventually by the time my husband has his interview, I will have secured a new contract in the US during the prime hiring period of May/June. Can you do something online? Work for a US based company online? I think by then you will have a enough paystubs to prove income AND take care of domicile issues at the same time. Depending on the backlog in Japan, if you return to the US for a short time to get everything together you may not be separated from your wife for very long.

Translations -- Is Apostille Also Needed?
KMG replied to coffee_joy's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
I filed DIY and have found that USCIS is very specific with what they want, and if it needs to have a notary or apostille, the instructions would indicate that. I used Translyte for all my documents and so far so good, and they turn around very quickly, with the proper certification. -

Proof of US Domicile
KMG replied to Valiegirl26's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Some other ideas could be a written last Will and Testament with your husband as as the beneficiary, proof of car ownership, letters from Drs in the States you have seen. If you continue to have problems, you may want to reach out to your State Rep. -
Proof of US Domicile

Following because I will be in this same situation next year- and honestly it looks like you have included everything to prove domicille. Can you provide a contract of employment in the States? A letter of resignation from your employer in Ireland? Flight info from your visits to the US? I have the same fear - of obtaining employment and settling in the US and my husband not getting the visa, but it seems to be very strong evidence of domicille. -
Muslim husband can add 02 wives
KMG replied to farea's topic in General Immigration-Related Discussion
It has nothing to do with being Muslim, a few members who have answered your questions have stated they are Muslim. This issue is polyamy, which is as many here have mentioned is illegal in the US. There is no immigration process in the US for this type of family structure. -
Muslim husband can add 02 wives
KMG replied to farea's topic in General Immigration-Related Discussion
I am wondering where you got the impression, or information, that the husband can bring multiple wives to the States. You stated your question as if it is a right- it is not a "smooth process" because (as others have stated) it is illegal in the States. Still don't who the USC is? -
K-1 Visa while Divorce is in Process
KMG replied to Mohsin786's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Your timeline says you were married in 2012. Have you already filed an I130 for immigration in the past? Is that the same person you are divorcing now? That is what is going to raise questions. -

Reestablishing Domicile and I 864 Affidavit

Circling back around to ask a couple more questions.... I am working on finding a joint sponsor assuming I will need one because of my foreign earned income. As soon as our I130 is approved, I am going to begin the process of looking for work, I am a teacher, so I will be applying to schools for the 25/26 school year- which means I would start in August. I would love to have an offer of employment by the time my husband attends his appoint at the consulate in Tegucigalpa. Depending on the timing of things, how many paycheck stubs (from US employer) would the consulate need to see without using a joint sponsor? Also, will I need the joint sponsor in the NVC stage? Thank you! -

Yes- provided your Consulate does not have a huge backlog. -
Lawyer taking forever to submit to NVC
KMG replied to Amandapaddy's topic in National Visa Center (Dept of State)
This is one of the reasons I did not use a lawyer. Upload the documents yourself and tell your lawyer, thank you for you're time- your done! Waiting almost 3 months for a simple task is ridiculous. -
