Hi, I had my ir1 interview at the US embassy London a week ago today and I was approved. He told me that I should receive my passport back within 2 weeks. It was issued Monday this week but I am yet to receive an email from DX about the delivery of my passport. I would usually just wait out the 2 weeks but I am in a discord group and every single person received the email the day after issued. I am just getting worried that I have not heard anything back yet. I called DX to see if they had my information correct and they said that since Friday 14th March they do not work with the embassy anymore!? I paid to this company for the delivery or my passport but now apparently they do not work together? I’m getting worried about where my passport is and if I am going to hear anything. I have also tried the embassy but absolutely no luck getting through to someone who can advise me. If anyone has any advice please?

Thankyou! I needed this. I made sure to fill out the ds260 correctly with every trip to the US. I will explain anything asked! Thankyou! -

We never received an RFE for it, just got approved and had to file i824 due to them not knowing if I was applying from inside or outside the states. I will definitely explain that it was an honest error, just hope it does not cause any issues! -

It was 3 years ago now so I think we are far past that. We stopped using them as soon as we had to file i824. I wish we just did it all ourselves but back then we really thought you had to have a lawyer. I just hope it’s not going to be an issue. Hopefully rectifying the mistake at NVC will be enough. -

Thankyou I was worried they will try and say it’s misrep! But like I said I only just read through our original i130 yesterday and realised the error. We did fire him as soon as he messed up and we had to file the i824! Never again. He didn’t even let my husband read the i130 before it was submitted (my husband just wrote down all the information he needed). That should’ve been a red flag from the start really but I find we were quite naive 3 years ago. Thankyou for your response -

1 year exactly for the i130 approval then our lawyer made a mistake on the original paperwork regarding whether I was inside the us or outside the us so we had to file the i824 which took another year and then we finally reached NvC in March 2024 but took a while to gather a couple of documents and only got DQ in November! Good luck! -

Hi so my husband and myself are finally at the interview stage after 3 long years of waiting and also having to file the i824 as our lawyer made a mistake on our paperwork! Anyway brings me to my question, I requested a FOIA with uscis for my entire A file as I wanted to see what they had. I was reading through the original i130 sent to USCIS back in 2022 and they had ticked NO to “has the beneficiary ever been in the United States”. This is completely incorrect and my husband gave them all the information! Now I’m extremely worried that this is going to cause an issue at my interview. At NvC I obviously filled out the ds260 myself and entered all the times I had traveled to the states. Is this mistake on the i130 going to cause issues or shall I just bring it up when I first sit down for my interview ? I’m so worried now… -
Please let us know when you receive it! I was dq 26th October so I’m trying to figure out a timeframe :)

I think it always says this and then should change in a couple of days. I may be wrong but I’ve seen this happen before. I doubt there’s anything to worry about! Congrats Please post when you receive it!
