  1. I-485 asks for an estimate of total household assets and liabilities. I (US citizen) own a house so both the assets and liability section will be relatively high. I do not want to declare my house as an asset on the I-864 (which I'll send in with the I-485) because I can qualify based on my income and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to get my house appraised if I don't have to. Even though I don't want to include it on my I-864, I will still need to include an estimate of my assets and liabilities for questions 58-59 for the I-485. Since we must include all assets and liabilities on the I-485 but I don't want to include it on the I-864, will I still need an appraisal? Will I get RFE'd for not proving any proof of my assets or liabilities that went into calculating the totals for the I-485 if I don't include those assets in my I-864?
  2. We received a letter from NVC saying our petition was being sent to Naples in August. Two days later, our case was updated to "Ready." The consulate has still not reached out to us and it's been 7 weeks. Beneficiary completed DS-160 six weeks ago and our I-797 expires in less than a month. I emailed the consulate and got an email saying they don't monitor that address. I have seen some people from other countries say they went ahead and scheduled their interview and medical before receiving a packet/notification from their embassy. Everything I've read from NVC and the consulate says to wait. Anyone else go through something similar with the consulate in Naples who can offer any advice?
  3. I already sent my stuff in. That's why I'm asking for the experience of others who did what I did.
  4. I had (10) photos we are using as evidence printed as traditional, individual 4x6 photos and put them in a ziplock bag which was taped to a piece of paper. I sent everything in last week but now I'm seeing that a lot of people put their pictures on a document and printed them out that way. I understand it is likely not a big deal but I'd like to hear if anyone else did something similar to me and still got approved. I have seen some answers to this but nothing that is relatively recent. Everything I'm seeing is 10+ years old.
  5. Under Part 8 (Additional Information) should I include required materials like the passport photos and my proof of citizenship or can I just include these items with my petition without adding them to Part 8?
  6. I'm a USC and my fiance is Italian. At what point of the K1 process should she obtain the required police reports? Is it better to wait until it's asked for or start the process after I submit the I-129f? Also, will this report be needed again when adjusting status after we get married in the US?
