I-485 asks for an estimate of total household assets and liabilities. I (US citizen) own a house so both the assets and liability section will be relatively high. I do not want to declare my house as an asset on the I-864 (which I'll send in with the I-485) because I can qualify based on my income and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to get my house appraised if I don't have to. Even though I don't want to include it on my I-864, I will still need to include an estimate of my assets and liabilities for questions 58-59 for the I-485. Since we must include all assets and liabilities on the I-485 but I don't want to include it on the I-864, will I still need an appraisal? Will I get RFE'd for not proving any proof of my assets or liabilities that went into calculating the totals for the I-485 if I don't include those assets in my I-864?
