Questions on Supporting Evidence for I-134
Rosaly replied to Rosaly's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I have the weekend right in between 😅 I think that's why I'm still nervous. It's not changing during the weekend because the consulate is closed then. Safe to assume I may see either Monday or Tuesday, and should it indeed be about a week after to be delivered, that would be faster than expected. 🤭 And yes, exactly and very well put! We are still missing something 😂 -

Which still says application received. But it also clearly says to wait 2 or 3 business days before it may change to approve, and then even 1 or 2 before it will say issued. So more waiting 🤣 I hope I get it all before the end of the month🙏🏻 so I can book my flight I thought I wouldn't feel nervous anymore after approval. 😅 I'm still nervous -

Rosaly replied to Rosaly's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Wait. She definitely did not use the word denied Or refused. And just found on USTravelDocs that when denied, you get passport back immediately 🙈 I think I found my answer already and the exhaustion just gets to me. Time for a nap 🤣 -
Questions on Supporting Evidence for I-134
Rosaly replied to Rosaly's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Had my Interview! I was dead tired but the conversation seemed to have gone well. I think she said something like "you're approved, the visa will be sent to you in 2 weeks." I didn't hear her right , so I asked her to repeat, she did repeat, but I still didn't hear it clearly. So I just said thank you and walked off. But then I Quickly walked back because I thought that at approval, I was supposed to get an envelope for port of entry which I am not allowed to open. I asked about this and then she said "everything will be mailed to you" So... I'm approved, I think? however, I am also in doubt 😅... I didn't get a packet that I am not allowed to open? Wasn't I supposed to get one? Did i hear her wrong? Did she say im NOT approved, and that I'll get my passport back in 2 weeks? But if I heard her wrong and got refused, wouldn't I have gotten my passport back on the spot? I'm driving myself nuts here. 😅 -

Congratulations!! Thats really good news and i am happy for you both!🥳 I so hope I will have good news on Friday to share as well 😁 And Thank you ! Makes packing a lot easier, although i had sweatpants ruled out already anyway😂 did not know shorts were an option, but also think sometimes they are easier on men wearing shorts in certain situations were a woman should not? 🤔 ...? Or is that a thought I just grew up with? 😅 nevermind! I have a better idea now for what to wear. 😄 Ive decided to start driving tomorrow, it's a 6 or 7 hour drive for me so i wont be doing that at night. I'll stay in a hotel so I can have a nervous breakdown there, throw it all out, then a chill evening and semi good sleep and go there early morning With my eyes still crusty but my mind clear.... yes, sounds like a plan. 😆 I kid of course, thankfully my friend is going with me to offer mental support. Did I tell yall yet that I'm nervous? 😅😅😆 -
Questions on Supporting Evidence for I-134
Rosaly replied to Rosaly's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Okay cool, That calms my nerves a bit Also, Is there any dress code i have to keep in mind? Im so stuck on what to wear. Ive seen online Business casual is recommended, but i dont have anything that fits the style. Like, Jeans be too casual because they look faded and the 1 business dress i do have may be too businessy, too uptight. If i arrive as 'Just me' The dress code is gonna be sweatpants and a tshirt.😂 Send Help! -

OMG you guys are the best. THANK YOU! Just had the weight lifted from my shoulders, 😂 -
Hi, Next week I will have my interview at the US consulate in Frankfurt. All documents are collected, copied, translated etc. i think something important is missing. The bank statement. Do we abolutely need to collect ALL the evidence mentionen in the section on Supporting Evidence in the intrusctions of the I-134? We have the I-134 and to go with it, the 1040 and W2, Paystubs of the last year, and a statement from his employer stating his jobfunction, pay and his permanent potition. Now for the bank statement: the instructions clearly say it needs to be from an officer of the bank who will provide information such as when the account was opened, the money deposited in the account and its current balance. ..... instead he send me a print of a statement of account with all the deposits and withdrawals / payments from the last month. Of course i brought it up, but he wont hear it. He says everything he send me already will be sufficiant and that he is sure they will believe he makes enough to support me financially. I mean, He does by far but that not the point. Point is it needs to be proven. Is my fiancé now being stubborn or am i worrying too much and will it indeed be fine? I feel this is going to end up in a refusal or at least AP and we have to send it anyway. Only a week left to prepare. I am lost on what to do now. And yes, we started well in time collecting stuff. Packet 3 letter states K1 applicants MAY fill out form I-134, OR submit evidence they wont become a public charge... Any one who has already had their interview in Frankfurt who did this without the I-134? it sounds optional.

Packet 3 - Frankfurt consulate in Germany
Rosaly replied to Rosaly's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Has anyone have experience with mail being stuck at customs? My USC fiance mailed me more documents needed for interview on saturday, June 22. The track and trace code shows it arrived in the netherlands yesterday morning at 7am, at customs. Since then it hasn't moved, it keeps saying in transit with the same time and dat stamp . For comparison: last time he mailed me documents, it was in my posession within a week. And it blitzed through customs: I had it the day after it had arrived at customs. Mail service is USPS. -
Hi, I had my first dose on June 7th, the second is planned for July 18th , so i will plan my 3rd somewhere december. Given the fact that AoS can take about 1 year or even 2 years in some cases, i wouldnt worry about this too much. You have time plenty You need to file the AoS within the 90 days as well if i am correct. 🤔 I think you wouldnt be able to get the 3rd shot before you file anyway

Rosaly replied to Sara-zm's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I send an email. I found online where and how i had to do that. Response to this was not immediate fo me, but took like 3 days or so. And i was very impatient too 😂 When they respond they havent received the case yet, wait a a couple days to a week and try again. -

Yes, my fiance got this letter in the mail, and he got a textmessage with our USCIS case# I have been using this to check the status online and after it changed to Case Approved, it took about 2 to 3 weeks until he also received the NOA2 letter, again by mail. The NOA2 letter says to wait at least 30 days from the NOA2 date before you make an inquiry at NVC to ask if they have received your case.... but, i couldn't wait and made an inquiry after 2,5 weeks approximatly. I got my casenumber from NVC by e-mail in a response to my inquiry. We got the NVC letter with this same Case# in the mail much later. So yeah, you can wait for all the letters to reach you, but you dont have to -
I-129F Initial Application
Rosaly replied to MaxF's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Most of the things that are smart to send in are already mentioned, but what may also be helpful is add something of proof of correspondence between you two, like emails and texts or logs of phonecalls and such. I remember my fiancé and i did not bend over backwards to send in as much as possible, but we did do our best to cover the entire timeframe from meeting each other to the actual engagement and everything in between. Just bits and pieces, dont send them the fiancé chronicles in 3 volumes As for the interview, i would just bring the same, and then proof of ongoing correspondence and meetings/pictures timed after you filed the petition -
Packet 3 - Frankfurt consulate in Germany
Rosaly replied to Rosaly's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Hi, You could go here: https://tinyurl.com/FrankfurtVisas (Thank you again Mallorycat!) just answer the questions and it will tell you what to mail exactly and what to use in the subject line to make sure it goes to the right place once mailed. You will get an automated response first. For me, they responded within a week with my packet 3 per mail. As for the steps: DS-160 Submitted? mail the confirmation page to (Capital i) I22 - (insert Casenumber that starts with FRN) The Visa fee: Go to portal.ustraveldocs.com and create an account there. update your profile and follow the steps to pay the Visa Fee. this is not hard, just takes some time reading! Once the consulate mails you in response to your DS-160, you can schedule the actual date for your appointment. Do you know which documents to gather? have you found that somewhere already? -

scheduling the appointment
Rosaly replied to Sara-zm's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
If it helps, i indeed also got an automated response with the message if something wasn't send according certain guidelines, my mail would not be responded to. My guess is everyone will get that one no matter what, but it is an indication they have received your mail! I got a response 2 days later, with the go ahead for making an appointment. (Sent May 14, response May 16) I hope you get yours soon! -

Rosaly replied to Rachel n Tyler's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

Rosaly replied to Rachel n Tyler's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
The Hague never or hardly did Amsterdam did and they stopped all visa operations as of May this Year. First: I never got an NVC Letter at all! 😬 Probably lost in the mail, just like the Packet 3 i never received 😅 Second: I contacted NVC after 2 weeks and they already had my casenumber for me, which they also provided in their response. In our case, My fiancé got both an email and a letter in the mail with this information. It will Reach you somehow! sometimes you just have to wait a long time and/or poke around yourself to get needed info -

Also a question: Do you fully understand english? or is the letter somewhat difficult to understand for you? Asking in case you need help, because i can help with the translation of it if you need. My Dutch is great as well 😂 -

Rosaly replied to Sara-zm's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Then i kinda wonder how you managed to book an Interview to be honest 😂 You received the letter from the consulate? Please carefully follow the instructions! Don't rush yourself. You have time. File and submit the DS-160, if the instructions of the consulate asked you to email the confirmation page, do so with the subject line being as instructed in the letter! It is important to follow instructions! Pay the visa fee too, should be done at USTravelDocs if I am correct. Only after the consulate sends you an email you can go ahead to schedule, you should be able to move forward in the menu (it was like this for me) Now, for me it didn't take long. After I submitted the DS-160, emailed the confirmation page and paid the fee, I got their response only 2 days later. 🙂 Personally I did wait a bit with the actual scheduling and making the appointment due to personal circumstances and planning of things. But it is possible very quickly after getting the green light from the consulate. It seems to me you are getting a bit ahead of yourself. Pace down, take a deep breath and READ the instructions carefully! Everything will be alright 🙂 -
I traveled to the US to visit my fiancé 2 months after receiving our NOA1. i only stayed for 2 weeks though. i had prepared a lot of documents and such to be able to proof i would be returning to the netherlands after my visit. this wasnt needed though. When i went through customs (Atlanta airport) The guy didnt even look at my passport ( camera recognition i suppose?) didnt even ask anything really, Just asked me the typical business or pleasure question and wished me a pleasant stay. 😂 Like was said earlier, 88 days is indeed riskier, they may ask you extra questions But still: a friend of mine was allowed entry all times she went to visit her husband (spouse visa) but every time she was taken to those offices in the bakc for extra questioning. But even after overstaying the 90 days once before, she was allowed back in and again stayed for about 2 months.

Sent $2000 to my fiancé in Qatar - a RED FLAG?
Rosaly replied to TheaG's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
My fiancé has been paying for all my gaming subscriptions the past 2 years, almost as soon as we started dating and we never included that either. When i visited him, i paid for groceries and such, we never included that either. granted, i always paid for my own planetickets regardless him offering to pay that as well. I would just leave it out. your list of what you already have collected is even more than my fiance and i submitted when we filed our petition and it was just fine. Dont worry too much about it, leave the money transfers out
