  1. Hello, I brought my fiancée over to the US on a K1 visa near the end of April. We married and filed AoS for her. Now we would like to bring her 14 year-old daughter over from the Philippines on a K2 follow-to-join visa. However, her daughter does not yet have her passport. To get her daughter's passport, we will need my fiancée's mother in the Philippines to accompany her (the daughter) to the Philippines Department of State. That office has requested a Special Power of Attorney and an Affidavit of Consent and Support. Apparently these will need to be signed by my fiancée in person at the closest Philippines consulate (which is several states away from us). From what I read the forms will need to be apostilled. However, it's not clear to me if we need to get the documents notarized and apostilled before, or after, visiting the consulate. I have tried calling and emailing the consulate, but I have yet to receive any reply, so I was wondering if anyone else had ever gone through this process?
