  1. theres no real timeline it could take a few days, some peoples cases get stuck at the NVC for months. you shouldn't schedule your medical until you can schedule your interview as well. they need to be done pretty close together as the medical exam is only valid for 6 months, and the 6 months the visa is valid starts from the day your medical exam is done, not from the day of the visa approval.
  2. it can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to get the noa1 your checks being cashed is good, you'll probs get it relatively soon
  3. since you are already married you would have to start over basically and file for a spousal visa.
  4. There's a neon piece of paper that comes with the rejected packet. That has to be included with what you refile. You're better off just printing and redoing the forms Especially since they just got updated. Definitely need a new signature and date in my opinion
  5. You just send everything the same way you did the first time EXCEPT you have to answer the question on the i-485 about being unlawfully present in the US as yes instead of no And you still include a print out of your i-94.
  6. depends really on if your wife has a chance of having a family emergency or something back home and she absolutely has to leave. the I-131 is about the same timeline, so she could end up with the greencard before the advanced parole. for us we didn't think the extra cost of the i-131 was worth it.
  7. You can get married in California on an esta and then go home to ireland and file for the spousal visa.
  8. I wouldn't If it is just a gender option that changed, it'll probably be fine Happened to us as well It fixed once I logged out and logged back in
  9. you shouldn't have to redo the medical since you received it abroad. your medical exam was in the envelope you gave to CBP at your POE. that would have to added to your immigration file and USCIS should have it. did the physician who did your medical give you a copy of the DS-3025(vaccination worksheet)? they were supposed to. are you able to contact that physician abroad who did your medical exam and have them send you a copy of it? do you know if your DS-3025 was marked as complete? if it wasn't marked as complete you would need to see a civil surgeon in the US and have them fill in the I-693 for just the vaccines. if it was marked as complete, and you are able to get a copy of it, it is best practice and make another copy of it and send that along with a cover letter explaining that you received a medical abroad and completed your vaccinations there and are not required to submit form I-693.
  10. have you tried their inquiry form? not called? https://ph.usembassy.gov/contact-us-visas/ they have an inquiry form for non-immigrant visas as well, but i believe you need to use the immigrant visa form since that is the section of the embassy that processes and interviews K1s https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-inquiry-form/
  11. dont stress too much what embassy are you going through? even if your case expires, the consular officer conducting the interview can extend the validity of the petition at the time of the interview. as for getting locked out, give it a day or 2 and check again. sometimes it takes a few days to fix. i've heard people checking for appointments at unlikely times, like the middle of the night. if anything, you should contact your embassy if you haven't received anything from them.
  12. intent was determined at POE, circumstances change. however, you cannot work in ANY capacity in the united states without a work authorization. regardless of if it is a US based company or not. your fiances uncle is incorrect. i am not very knowledge about the circumstances of adjusting in your circumstance, so i will leave that to others.
  13. like with the date? yes it would be on the label they put on the package
  14. that would be actually ridiculous if they did especially since there was no warning of another updated form fingers crossed you'll be fine lol
  15. you will probably be fine it was post marked before they made the update
  16. the I-134 (the affidavit of support) is not legally binding like the I-864 that is submitted during AOS. so he wouldn't be on the hook for her at this point the I-134 is just a statement of intent to financially support an non-immigrant
  17. court marriage would be the cheapest, easiest, and quickest. would need at least 2 witnesses. we ended up doing a very small ceremony. just hired an officiant to meet us somewhere (can literally be anywhere, we used an empty meeting room at the place i work LOL) was just my family who came, took about 20 minutes. and then we went to dinner afterward. I ordered a dress off Amazon, my husband already had a suit. I used a website called theknot to find an officiant. has everything that one would need for a wedding if you didn't want to try and plan a ceremony some officiants will literally just meet you somewhere and sign the license for you (and do all the legal stuff as well of course) but still need the 2 witnesses as well.
  18. ive heard that a lot of embassies (not sure which) will accept a police certificate as long as it is less than 2 years old regardless of whatever expiration date is on it. but i'm not 100% sure
  19. it depends more on the country than the embassy a majority are valid for 2 years but according to the Norwegian police website (i assumed this was for Norway) theirs is only valid for 3 months https://www.politiet.no/en/english/police-certificate-of-conduct/police-certificate-of-conduct---apply-online/ "A police certificate of conduct is valid for three months only." also assumed the police certificate of conduct was what you were requesting from them
  20. USCIS would be your best bet i think they have a tip form https://www.uscis.gov/report-fraud/uscis-tip-form
  21. yes the address is whichever lockbox you are sending it to and yes your fiances letter of intent will have the same address on it
  22. you could just use to original letter of intent, just update the date on it. will also need any police certificates, birth certificate, divorce certificates (if applicable), 2 US passport style photos, and any additional evidence of the relationship (may or may not be asked for, but good to have. like photos and stuff) and don't forget the evidence for the I-134. tax return transcripts, W2s, employment authorization letter, etc. your embassy should send you some kind of letter telling you exactly what you need to bring to the interview once they receive your case from the NVC, as every embassy is different. but those things are pretty standard.
  23. since you will have to use page 12 for this, you can include a short explanation regarding the addresses, that you were in college and were moving back and forth between semesters
  24. my suggestion would be (using example months for the college stuff): parents home: 2020 - 2024 (or if you were living there your entire life before college, put your birth year as start date, otherwise leave as 2020. I put my birth year and it wasn't an issue) dorm 1: march 2020 - may 2020 apt 1: march 2021 - may 2021 apt 2: august 2021 - march 2023 dorm 4: august 2023 - february 2024 current address: march 2024 to present and just make sure the dates line up for when you left your last dorm, to when you moved back in with your parents, to when you moved to your current address, i.e: dorm 4: 8/1/2023 - 1/1/2024 parents home: 2020 - 3/1/2024 current address: 3/2/2024 - PRESENT that is personally what I would do, others may have a better idea.
