  1. It is good that you caught it. Since you already messaged them, maybe also send USTravelDocs an email with the DS-160 number and also send an inquiry to the Consulate. At least for our Consulate (Vietnam), those are the only two ways to update the DS-160 number for the confirmation page and profile. Hopefully your DS-160 number shows up soon.
  2. As an update to this: We were able to Close the Application on USVisaScheduling then Start a new one using the same case number and correct DS-160 number. We needed to pay the application fee again but at least we could use credit card this time. After the credit card payment was processed the next day, we were allowed to look at the online interview schedule with the next available being 2 months after the original. Fortunately the new USVisaScheduling system for our Consulate doesn't block you if you keep checking the schedule availability. We got very lucky and found a new interview date just 2 weeks after the original and we immediately took it. It was yesterday and we passed. They didn't ask about the missed appointment at all during the actual interview.
  3. With our Consulate (Ho Chi Minh City), as long as the Packet 3 letter is still valid (1 year) you can make another interview appointment at the next available. So we closed the "missed" interview appointment application on USVisaScheduling then started a new one and completed the new visa application with the same case number. We needed to pay the DS-160 fee again though. The first available interview was 2 months after the original. After constant checking, we got lucky and found one that opened up much sooner. The Consulate responded to our original panic email 7 days later. Really sorry that a you're going through this and hope you can find a solution soon.
  4. @W199Thank you so much, this is great. We will go through the required documents one more time and ensure all are still valid. Visa photos are OK, medical is OK and police certificates we need to double check about.
  5. We looked but the numbers were different from her rejected tourist visa. At least we were able to get a new appointment in February so hopefully no more issues.
  6. Hi SalishSea - Thanks for the response. My fiance did have a previous tourist visa application that was rejected last year. I did bring a print out both the DS-160 confirmation and the Appointment Confirmation but the DS-160 numbers did not match. We found that the embassy does allow us to resubmit a new DS-160 form after 24 hours and pay a new fee. Then we can reschedule at the next available, whenever that could be. Everyone - please make sure to check that the numbers match and do not make this idiotic mistake that set us back a few months if we are lucky. I still have no idea where the mismatched DS-160 number even came from.
  7. Hello all - I apologize if this is redundant but I didn't see any other answers when trying to search. My fiancé and I showed up for our K1 visa interview today at the Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam embassy. We checked in outside but they stopped us and told us that the DS-160 confirmation number on the Appointment Confirmation is different than the actual DS-160 confirmation. I cannot at all understand how this could have happened since we only completed one DS-160 application online. Because of this, they didn't let us inside and now don't know what to do. I have emailed the embassy asking for leniency to reschedule a new appointment and calling them doesn't go anywhere. I understand I made a grave error in checking everything else in our packet but never even thought to think that there is a different DS-160 number on the appointment confirmation. Does anyone have any additional advice on what to do? Thank you so much!
  8. Hi - can I ask what you ended up selecting on that USTraveldocs Address Registration page for visa class? I'm now in the same boat not knowing which visa class to choose for the K-1. Thank you!
  9. Hi All - For I-129F Item 4B (Criminal History Documents) - When I go to the Clerk at the California courthouse that tried my case, do I simply ask them for a court certified copy of my arrest record and disposition? Whatever stamped document they provide is all I need to fulfill the documentation? Then the police report that is not certified is OK too, right? This is for a 15 year ago expunged DUI case. I have searched throughout VJ and am clarifying the documents that are needed to avoid the RFE. Thank you!
