    My partner submitted the I-130 petition on my behalf in April 2023 while she was residing in New Mexico. Despite receiving weekly notifications promising approval within a week, we haven't received an official approval yet. Frustrated with the prolonged wait, we've contemplated having her relocate to Canada with me and exploring the option of filing through DFC to advance our family's immigration process. We're uncertain if this is a risky decision that could further delay our case or a strategic workaround to expedite the process. As newbie to this process, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello. My spouse who is US citizen is living with me here in Canada also. We’re also considering filing through DFC. Have you had any luck so far with your question? I’m trying to figure out if it’s faster for us to go do it this way, or we are also considering having her move move back to US and file from there. Have you heard anything of this sort?
