Hi All,
I have been back and forth from this website 100's maybe 1000's of times and it has helped so much and at some points made me worry a little but, yesterday I had my interview and we were approved. This post is to detail our journey timeline a lot of it is from the beneficiary (me) POV, the steps we took and what documents we used (much of which wasn't asked for but, was good to have just in case).
To begin with, our process from application to NOA1 took 9 months (A LOT QUICKER than the 12+ months that many others have, will and may face)
My partner & I put together the following documents per the cover letter attached and prepared our application for submission on 1st March 2023.
01/03/23 Submission Inc G1145 (Proof of relationship included photos, receipts, flight tickets and other similar evidence + We included 2 passport photos each (US Size)
10/03/23 NOA1
4/12/23 NOA2 CEAC Case Ready
16/12/23 NOA2
Email of Petition Approval Received
25/12/23
Some time during this week we received the actual letter & I also started to research what additional documents I may need such as;
Police Certificate which I could have applied for a little earlier as it took 3 weeks to arrive however is valid for 2 years
Passport photos (You need 4 for Beneficiary for Medical and 1 for your interview - US Size)
2/01/23
Some time during this week we received NVC processing update on CVC & a copy of the previous letter followed through
9/01/23
I went ahead and used the case number to fill out my DS-160, you don't have to submit straight away as it retains information for 30 days just incase you're not ready or need time for more information but I did.
16/01/23
Some time during this week I received letter invitation to fill our DS-160 and apply for interview & schedule medical.
You need your case number to schedule the medical (They open their calendar on a monthly basis so, its best to call at the end of the month before the month of your interview I.E. (Called 24th Jan, Medical Scheduled 26th Feb, Interview 7th March)
In order to book your interview you will need to pay the MRV fee & have your DS-160 submission number AA------(If you do not have the letter, you can email the embassy and use that email later if needed (I was never asked for it but always keep it available to you)
