  1. Hello, I have received this E-mail from "TAM-Adjudications@uscis.dhs.gov" both before and after my interview was done asking requesting to upload additional documents that I may see as evidence of our relationship. Before the interview, I have opted not to upload anything and just let the officer take from us what he needs, but he never asked us for any documents. Is there any reason why I am getting again this after my interview was done 2 months ago? Do I need to upload additional documents? I am confused. Is this like an automated message or something? Thank you in advance!
  2. I got 2 questions regarding AOS interviews and wondering if anyone can answer them. 1. It's been around 2 months since I've done my interview with my wife. The interview went quite well. Is it normal to wait this long post interview if the officer explicitly said that we're an "easy" case? 2. The officer did not ask us for any additional documents in the interview and I haven't sent any additional documents prior to the interview, is this normal? Or should I upload additional documents? I've normally followed the path of "don't give them what they didn't ask for" throughout this process.. Thank you in advance!
  3. Yes, I sent a signed letter to the P.O. Box of the NBC alongside my i-797c of my i-485 and i-765 (which has the wrong category). It was delivered to the PO BOX on April 17 according to the tracking.
  4. So I've noticed around 2/3 weeks ago that I have put the wrong eligibility category in my form, which probably explains why my case is taking so long and stuck. I've consulted with a lawyer and they've suggested to send a signed letter directly to the center processing my application to try and correct this before I get a rejection but that doesn't seem to have visibly changed anything. I can't submit a case inquiry as my case is "still within processing time", which doesn't make much sense because it's been 3.5 months since the case was received. The Emma Live agents aren't very helpful either. Is there anything else I could do in this case?
  5. Glad to hear it's not just me. Doesn't hurt to try. I usually don't get anywhere with these guys but I'll give it a try, thanks.
  6. It was on the 13th of March, so around a month.
  7. Yes, they were on different dates and I attended them both and brought each notice for each appointment respectively. Also, seems that both of those applications are in 2 different centers right now. I-485 is in Chicago and the i-765 is in the NBC. The i-765 was mailed to Chicago but I guess they re-routed it to the NBC.
  8. Hello, Thanks for replying. Short answer is I have 2 different letters with 2 different receipt numbers (1 for the i-485 and 1 for the i-765). Just to clarify that when I submitted both applications but the i-765 got originally rejected due to incorrect fees. I re-submitted it and it has an independent receipt number, biometrics appointment and letter. Regards.
  9. Hello, I know this is a long time due but basically we got married at the Tampa Hillsborough clerk office and were able to get our certificate on the spot. I don't know how it works in other counties/states but that's how it went for us just to share if anyone stumbles on this thread. Good luck to everyone!
  10. Hello, I've applied for my EAD whilst waiting for my i-485 to process. My i-485 is on "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS" status at the moment but my i-765 has been stuck on "Case was received" status for the last 77 days. I also attended the biometrics appointment for it. Is this normal? Regards.
  11. Thanks for the replies. We will check with the different offices responsible for these kind of things in different counties and see what they will tell us. The Miami thing sounds re-assuring since it's not so far from where we live.
  12. Thank you for that offer. I will keep it in mind. Vegas will be our last resort if we can't find alternative options. I am quite surprised. I cannot find any definitive information about this on Florida-related websites. So this is purely dependent on the speed of the county office and not the Bureau of Vital Statistics? Or who issued your marriage certificate in your case, do you know?
  13. Hello, I have a question regarding obtaining the marriage certificate in Florida. I have come to find out that it takes up to 60 days to process the marriage certificate in Florida, but that does not really work for my 90-day timeline in the US. They also do not have any expedite options. My question is, what are my options here? Would a Vegas marriage be a better substitute? Regards.
