Hey guys. Since this post goes back a few years, I assume you are FINALLY done with this process. We actually have a very similar situation in which I (the petitioner) am also from California and my fiancee is from Marrakech, Morocco. I beleive the difference is that I am the male (US) and my Fiancee (MAROC) is female; I beleive your situation is just the opposite.
Anywho, my fiancee and I, filed our K-1 I-129F peition on 10.21.22 and were finally approved by USCIS on 11.30.23 (13+ months later), then we received the approval from the NVC on 1.3.24. (1 month, 3 days later) but since then we have heard NOTHING from the US Consulate in Casablanca. You cannot call them (phone just hangs up), and they don't respond to emails AT ALL. We have been waiting over 2 months now and again, nothing! No communicataion at all, no welcome letter, nothing!
Can you tell me how long it actually took for you to finally hear back from the Consulate? Can you tell me about the interview (I've heard HORROR stories about this particular consulate)? Our attorney advised us that this particular Consulate schedules your interview for you and that we would get our interview date when we finally get the welcome letter. Was that your experience as well? If so, how far our was your interview scheduled from the date of the welcome letter?
