  1. Yeah I was worried about that, they told me on here that the person doing the medical could cross something on there that would state that there was no time (I got my 2nd dose end of Aug, so I'd get my next one January, but I have until January 31st to file so it doesn't really match up)
  2. Just grabbed my pile of documents, all I have is the bill and the file I needed at the X-ray place, nothing like that.. (oh and my CD with the xrays) I'm not sure if it matters, considering I needed to get another dose of hep a-b anyway, should I contact anyone for it?
  3. Interesting, where would I have received that? All I got at my medical was basically the bill and an overview of what was done I think
  4. Hi friends!! Just making sure, are they supposed to not give it back? I know it has a copy of my medical, which I thought I needed for the next medical step for the 485, but I asked and they said they keep it.
  5. I personally didn't wait. I just scheduled it because it literally is a letter with like a QR code if I recall, sending you to the website with a list. (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/FRN-Frankfurt.html). I didn't have any issues, and my packet 3 arrived only a week later.
  6. I think so, but I'm not sure, I have it in a brown envelope from them right now, but I can't recall if that's what it came in
  7. That's so interesting! It came in a brown evelope with a folder about domestic abuse.
  8. I got my A-number on my i-129f copy they sent back to me! And yeah if you can send them to me, I'd appreciate that a lot!
  9. I'm unsure if anyone has mentioned anything about it, and 102 pages is a bit of a long read. Is there any talk of plans that could impact my K1 journey? I just got to the states last weekend, and my fiancé is scared they'll deport me...
  10. If they resealed it, it should be fine! Did they not tell you 10 times to not open it? The guy at my interview just kept saying it hahaha
  11. That's why I started my study now, so I can be prepared when we're doing it haha. I don't want to feel rushed to find out the answers, I'd rather know in advance. And VJ is a godsend, I agree. It's made it so much easier, and it made me realise this is doable without an expensive service!
  12. You’re a light in this darkness, thank you! It’s making more and more sense now ❤️
  13. I doubt it's necessary, but it's not going to harm to send a quick email to the embassy about it, just in case.
  14. God this is all so confusing hahaha. So I'd still need to file it on paper, all at once with the I-485? All in one package, with a cover letter.
  15. Hi! Embassies can extend the NOA2, I've heard up til a year I believe. The only thing that can't be extended is your medical. Your medical is important for when you enter the USA, as your K1 is valid 6 months after the day of your medical. I've heard people had to contact the embassy for an extention, some did it without question. Best thing is to ask the embassy.
  16. So would that waive the need for the receipt for the 485? Because it states this required evidence for the I-131
  17. And would you also send them in separate envelopes? I kinda assume I have to, since the I-131 states you have to provide proof of the I-485 being sent (receipt) when you send it in, and the employment authorisation can be done online
  18. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/KDU-Kathmandu.html#interview_guidelines It says here that you can only bring a translator (interpreter) if you don't speak English or Napali. She speaks Napali, so she can't bring an interpreter. This means they'll do the interview in Napali. That's the official Embassy website too
  19. Our case was sent to the NVC on June 17th, I did an inquiry on July 7th and got my case number July 9th! https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html That's the inquiry link 🙂
  20. They'll do whichever you can. If Nepali is better for her, they'll do it in Nepali.
  21. It says you can only bring an translator if the person doesn't speak English or Nepali, is this the case?
  22. Hi friends! I'm researching the AOS guide, but I know that recently the process for it has changed a bit. They used to have a fee for i-485, i-131 and the work visa thing in one. Since it's been seperated, there's no update on it on how to file those three payments, if you should do it separately, together.. Does anyone know if there's going to be an updated version of it? We'll likely file it in December, so we'd love to know what changed etc.
  23. What embassy is she doing the interview at?
