  1. Oh atleast there's that!!! We haven't even gotten the receipt yet, so I guess its waiting to see what I filled in...
  2. #######, I think I did the same. SOOOO is my payment just gonna be wasted?
  3. Now I wish I copied my stuff because what the hell did I fill in there.......
  4. Bulaga provided a lot of info to show how the timing can be, so you should be good!!
  5. Correct! But sometimes the medical and interview are a bit further apart than 1 month
  6. Small correction, the visa validation is based on the medical appointment, not date of issueing.
  7. And do you want to do the interview after February or move?
  8. You'd have to contact the consulate and ask. They do sometimes extend. When would you be done with exams?
  9. - You don't NEED to do 3 years, it shows stability and might help but is not required. We did W2 of 2024 and tax transcripts of 2023. Sometimes more proof is just better. - You don't NEED a joint bank account. It shows marriage, but it's not required. BUT, you can send extra proof online after they receive your I-485. Edward & Jaycel have listed what they added in the November thread, others have done the same. I personally used theirs.
  10. I wouldn’t. whenever I made a mistake, I just reprinted the entire thing. You don’t want a simple fixable thing to cause you to be denied or the process to take longer
  11. Depends on the mistake, but yes. You kinda need to make sure there's no mistakes.
  12. Let me add a little salt to the thread: We filed the 29th and haven’t heard anything yet. It can take 4-8 weeks. There is a chance you haven’t been scammed! But the lack of communication is a red flag.
  13. Right!! And being the only one with Dallas Lockbox is also very.. lonely!! XD
  14. Same. I'll be like 'Hasn't it been a month already??' no girl, 15 days, calm down.
  15. I did some doom-searching today and figured out that the Dallas Lockbox is just VERY slow with their receipts etc. Yippie. Atleast it gives me peace that I don't have to worry about it if it takes a month+.
  16. This is the case with all visas. One simple misunderstanding or a wrong version of a word and your visa can get denied. In the future, I'd make sure you read up on what can cause a visa to be denied, because I'm sure there's a lot of documentation on examples like 'living'. But I understand your frustration. I was going to be in the US for 3 months on my ESTA and called it a temporary move to friends too. Would I have said that at the border, they likely wouldn't have let me in. I never did the 3 months as my K1 got accepted before it though, so I thankfully never had to experience it. My husband always says that anything to do with the government and immigration is vague, hard to understand and a mess. Welcome to the journey 😞
  17. Have you received anything regarding the EAD? NOA1? Like EatBulaga said, your timeline helps us give advice.
  18. Tax returns are mainly what we used. W2, etc. Since those state exactly what you made in a yead
  19. In my opinion, it’s better to do the SS office and not wait on the 485. You need the social security number for certain things, and the sooner you have it, the better. The only thing is that with the K1 visa you need to get it within 74 days of arriving, but it’s advised to not go before 14 days after arrival. This is because the systems don’t update often and her arrival/documents might not be in there and they’ll have to ask USCIS questions, which takes longer. 74 because they can’t issue a card after your I-94 expires within 16 days. It’s a hassle. For me personally, they had to investigate if I could even get a SSN, this took 3 weeks, then my card was supposed to come first week of December, never came, and with all the holidays etc they couldn’t issue me a new card. I do have my number, just not a card. It’s drama. But I’m one of the unlucky cases. Only thing is, if you get one yourself, you have to have it when you file 485, because it asks if you already have a SSN, and if you do, you can’t lie or leave it blank.
  20. Hm, this is a very tough situation. It'll probably cost some money and time to fix it. When did you arrive in the US? (Filling in your timeline/profile helps us give advice!)
  21. You don't have vaccine paperwork from your country? In my country you can request an official booklet with what vaccines you have had and most of their serial numbers/batch numbers
