  1. I understand, and I appreciate the reminder of caution. My interview date is booked already for June. My fiancé and I will not be doing anything rash, risky or expensive under any naive assumptions. Thank you for your help
  2. You did! And I am very grateful for your time originally explaining. I thought it fair to ask a related question now after a few weeks of more research, since, still, I received different information from that one reply and multiple other reputable sources including the Gov website and Boundless. I didn't think there was harm asking this here
  3. Hello. Thank you. I asked again because in my previous post, which was a general inquiry while this post is a specific ask, had only one answer and it still remains different from multiple other sources. For example, even 180 days (which you said) is slightly different than 6 months (which the answer in my previous post said). So I thought it would not be unfair for me to continue seeking clarity with this ask.
  4. TDLR: Can you share the expiry date on your K1 Visa and how it relates to your timeline? Hello. I've seen conflicting information on this from multiple supposedly-reputable sources, and while my fiancé and I have spend a lot of time trying to read, research, call, etc., we cannot seem to get a firm answer on this. So, I thought I'd go to the folks who've already gotten their K1 Visas and ask. Please let me know: A. My K1 expiry date is 180 days from the date my I-129F was approved B. My K1 expiry date is 180 days from the date I passed my interview C. My K1 expiry date is something else (What?) This will be so, so helpful for our wedding planning. Thank you!
  5. Hello. I am very happy to share that my fiancé and I just received our approval of the 1-129F petition yesterday! I am the beneficiary, in Canada coming to the USA. I am trying to ready myself for all of the steps ahead. I am very confused about how long I have before I must move to the USA, as there is conflicting information on multiple trustworthy websites. The Boundless website clearly states: "Once requirements are met, and the K-1 visa is approved, the sponsored fiancé is given a total of six months from the date of the approval of the initial I-129F form to travel to the United States." This VisaJourney website clearly states: "*Must enter the US within (typically) 6 months of the K-1 being issued." Unhelpfully because it is ambiguous, the official usembassy.gov site states: "The fiancé(e) visa is valid for 180 days and allows you only one (1) entry into the United States." So Boundless gives me six months from yesterday, VisaJourney gives me 6 months from the date I get my K1 after passing the interview, which should happen in the next few months, and the government site uses ambiguous language that could be either. This difference is very critical for me, as every week I can still spend in Canada prepping for my move will be beneficial to me. Does anyone have a very certain, clear answer? Is it 180 days from yesterday, when I-129F was approved, or from when the K1 gets approved in the next months? Thank you so much!
