  1. Thank you! There is no certificate number on the US passport, so should I put the certificate number given on the CRBA?
  2. Thank you! Hopefully you can answer my question below as well. My son has his CRBA. The I130 Page 3, Question 38. is asking if he has obtained a certificate of naturalization or certificate of citizenship. Will the CRBA be sufficient for this? Or will he have to file N600 prior to sponsoring my husband?
  3. My son will be sponsoring my husband soon. He was filling out the I-130 and one of the questions there asked (Page 5 - Question 10): Has anyone else ever filed a petition for the beneficiary? 26 years ago I tried sponsoring my husband from Canada. I don't remember which forms I did, but at the end it wasn't successful because the officer told us that the only way I could sponsor him is if I moved to the US and worked. We ended up not going with that route so I decided to live in Canada because I didn't feel comfortable being away from him. I know my son will have to answer Yes to that question, but will they ask for more details about why I'm applying again? I don't even remember if it was the I-130 form I filed 26 years ago, but he did do a medical exam amongst other things. Thank you <3
  4. That's correct. He has a job in the US and he is my son's biological father. If it makes a difference, he'll be working in California.
  5. Thank you! My son got a job there recently and will be starting in a few weeks. Would there be any chance he can start the sponsorship as soon as he starts working? If so, would it be the same wait time if he were to do the sponsorship as opposed to me doing it?
  6. I am a USC (Naturalized - lived in the US for 7 years, 5 of which were after the age of 15). I married my husband and moved to Canada. All of my kids are USC via CRBA. I want to bring my husband to the US and would really like to avoid being separated for 1-2 years if at all possible. Is there any way I can first bring him to the US and then start the paperwork? I want my children to finish their high school in the states in preparation for university. I really don't want us to be separated for 1-2 years during the entire process. I don't have any way to establish Domicile because I didn't keep anything of mine active in the US. Hopefully there's a way without us being separated? Please let me know <3
