  1. Good for 2 years .. unless (there’s always exceptions to most rules)
  2. USCIS Announces New Guidance on Form I-693 Validity Period Release Date 04/04/2024 I don’t see where IR-1/CR-2 visas are exempt20240404-I-693Validity.pdf20240404-I-693Validity.pdf20240404-I-693Validity.pdf CR-1*
  3. LOL 😂 and the government is well aware of these consular delays being a huge problem
  4. The program is designed to promote diversity and to give individuals from countries with historically low rates of immigration to the United States an opportunity to apply for a US Green Card. Must be a NATIVE from a qualifying country, and Canada is not. Canadian RESIDENTS who are citizens of eligible countries may apply for the program, however.
  5. I noticed yesterday the details I entered in the Notes section of the spreadsheet are no longer there. If this can be retrieved from a former version of the document it would be great. Otherwise I could provide again.
  6. Updates (dates) merely suggest the case has been accessed for something. I had updates after DS-5535 submission, twice after Congressional Inquiries, and upon status emails sent to the Consulate. At some point updates will increase in frequency and status eventually will update to “Issued”
  7. I’m sorry. Filed too early for Montréal, I think. A firm I consulted is not agreeing to file WOMs for AP cases pending there before the one year mark. On what basis is the government moving to dismiss?
  8. I concur. I opened it yesterday and saw it was in total disarray. It should be managed by one or two people
  9. “Mean or prove?” 🤯 You claim to be a U.S. Citizen and not aware that as such you can apply for a U.S. Passport? 🤯🤯 Again, IF you have in your possession a valid U.S. Passport, you can travel on it … Bye 👋🏻
  10. It seems this link is to provide services to U.S. Citizens at the Consulate (renew/apply/pending U.S. passport application issues), not to request return of another country’s passport being held at the Consulate for visa stamping after case adjudication 😔
  11. If you have a valid U.S. issued Passport you can travel. Period
  12. Just asinine. A 12 year old subjected to AP requiring the Dreaded DS-5535. I wonder if asked for his 15 year travel history 🤪
  13. Choose “Travel History”. “Class of Admission” is the Visa type
  14. I have been doing just that on a weekly basis, and will continue to do so, for a little over a month now.
  15. While travel history constitutes a substantial factor for refusal/DS-5535 requirement, it is by far not the only reason. Note that this form is issued against your name or profile, not your visa application. Until the security clearance against your name is issued from Washington, DC the visa will not be adjudicated.
  16. Proof of a round trip airline reservation is perfect. You’re not obligated to inform the consulate that you’re traveling to the U.S., nor do they care to know. They have visibility on your travel. Check out the I-94 website travel records for US Visitors
  17. Yes, seems that since your case does not fall under the Security Advisor Opinion scrutiny it should be adjudicated sooner than the varying complex INA 221(g) refusals slapped with the DS-5535. Best of luck with a minimal wait
  18. “Please let us know if we can be of further assistance”, the Consulate writes 😂
