  1. “There's a phone number there to call the consulate if you wanted to try to get confirmation.”. It’s not answered by a living breathing human.. ever. I’ve given up. It consists of recordings based on prompts given to obtain general information only. There’s no option to speak to anyone
  2. It is my understanding this is permissible, provided of course that requirements are met. for that different visa application. Can’t say whether you’d end up in AP all over again
  3. Oh, last I knew the tracker was made inaccessible to all, other than to view. I’m sure you did!
  4. It remains a damned mystery (reasons) many are refused and slapped with the Dreaded DS-5535. Excessive travel (regardless where to) is a trigger, I’ve learned. When you come up for air as to be added to the Sheets tracker https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jV7rzX2eCRVoEDRhOtN9a6hDoHRLNEf1P3ZGZbQ0_Dc/edit
  5. Probably, but I would say other factors might swing that pendulum
  6. Never worry about a possible problem, concern yourself with a solution. For instance, familiarize yourself with the DS-5535 and start gathering travel details for the last 15 years in case you’re asked for it. Good luck 🤞🏻
  7. Pretty similar set of circumstances with my Canadian born husband who traveled extensively for work (in addition to leisure travel) all over the world (including to the U.S.) in the span of 14 years
  8. The Sheets tracker shows year 2024 The Sheets tracker shows year 2024
  9. Yup, that sounds about right. I would quit that if I were you. The answer will be same (case in administrative processing “cannot predict when the processing will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the State Department are aware of your concerns and will contact you as soon as the processing is complete”).
  10. Wooo hoooo!!! Finally received a topic specific reply from the Consulate this afternoon acknowledging an email sent to it on March 3 supplementing answer to the previously submitted DS-5535. Sent follow-up emails on April 14 and May 11. Took three months and a day to send a personalized reply.
  11. Worthless to us waiting in Refused status AP with the Dreaded DS-5535
  12. I’d bet everyone active in this forum has contacted the Montréal Consulate once case hits 6 months in AP. The reply will be the Automatic cookie cutter one when enquiring about case status
  13. Yes. No positive outcome. The senators for my state are both Republicans, so I doubt they would do anything but ignore me. The Congressperson for my district (a Democrat) has inquired twice. Same useless reply to those requests. I’ve emailed the WH (President, VP and help with a Federal Agency.) Not receiving receipt acknowledgements anymore.
  14. Way too soon. If you’ve got the 💵 to spend, more power to you. It will get dismissed, and I wish you luck in that at least it might get the Consulate to move your case along, but I doubt it .. ☮️ to you
  15. Yes, I would say so. Additional information here (Frequently Asked Questions section) i-693instr.pdf
