Not by first come first served basis, that’s for sure. No order other than when clearance is received from agencies involved, and complexity of case is a factor

If my memory serves me right the courier service registration applies only for where you want the passport sent TO YOU after it has been visa stamped

Good for you! Congratulations 🎉 I was unable to find with a Google search. I would ask others here who were recently approved, or email the consulate asking for this information .. which should’ve been supplied in the first place 🙄

Yes, these COs should not be telling applicants that it will be a few weeks/months. Despicable. They should just say depends on circumstances of each particular case, and there’s no timeline.

Yes, defeating and frustrating. You filed the WOM way too early. It’s taking at least a year to adjudicate AP/DS-5535 cases out of Montréal. Congressional Inquiries are worthless when it comes to expediting these. A couple on this forum was just asked for passport/updated medical and RCMP report at 15 months. It’s a waiting game 😔

I believe @ak47 got a request for updated medicals, RCMP updated report, etc., to continue visa processing, and requested return of passport which the Consulate had kept. A valid passport is required to be shown for these. No visa stamp yet

Fingerprinting included, and RCMP Nat’l Repository Entire Holding + Certified Criminal Record check. He did it back in September, 2022, so it’s been a while. You may want to ask if price/turn around time still holds. Good luck 🤞🏻

Extensive work related (plus vacation) travel (including many times to the U.S.) all over the world (Colombia, Mexico, Haiti, Malaysia, UAE, to name a few) in the span of 14 years. My husband also has a very common Hungarian surname

I don’t believe you’ve emailed them enough at this point for your email to be marked as spam. Three weeks not so bad, considering it took the consulate 3 months and a day to reply to a topic specific personalized email I had sent back in early March supplementing an answer to the DS-5535; and that was after 2 follow up emails I had sent as well. That’s government for you!
