  1. Received an unsolicited update today as well. Prior was back in early March. Not jumping for joy just yet, but feels like progress
  2. Reached one year since interview this past July 21. Current update remains as March 5, 2024. It’s a no from me
  3. The IOE receipt fee is the application fee paid at the time a Petition (in our case I-130 Petition for Alien Relative) is filed with USCIS. The Immigrant Visa Fee becomes due and payable once the IV is issued/passport stamped.
  4. Correct. Immigrant Visa fee becomes due and payable only after the IV is issued and passport is stamped
  5. I stand corrected, Ooops .. 2 years for RCMP certificate 👍🏻
  6. Congratulations!! 🥳 I would presume your police/criminal certificate has not expired (good for one year). Can’t speak as for the DS-260 though
  7. Most likely all (in/out) email exchanges are saved in each applicant’s E-file once they shoot off a reply, and probably that E-file is archived for a certain period of time once the case is adjudicated. That’s my guess, but government operates in mysterious ways 😂
  8. Realistically, I doubt it. Probably electronically saved in the applicant’s file
  9. I sent a specific topic (not just requesting case status) email on March 3. Got the immediate generic reply. Case status updated to March 5. Did not receive response email confirming “receipt of the information you provided” until THREE months and a day later (June 4), yet a case update did NOT occur (still March 5). In the interim, I sent two follow-up emails as well. Not consistent
  10. 🥳 Congratulations! My spouse interviewed on July 21, 2023. Hope springs eternal 😃
  11. I just learned of someone in another forum was recently (within a week) adjudicated visa out of Montreal. He waited 17 months. To my knowledge, WOM not filed
  12. Same here. Two Congressional Inquiries. Standard response (refused, in AP, etc) we get, is what they get
  13. You need to figure out who the congressional district representative in the state where your sponsor/USC resides. Review the congressperson’s website for instructions on how to contact it for assistance (help with a federal agency). You may be required to complete/sign and return an authorization/privacy release form
  14. Good to learn! Which state/congressional district? and yes, Correct .. just like chicken soup, it can’t hurt
  15. Your case will not become inactive while waiting for AP to be completed. Maybe email the consulate every few months asking for case update, although that will yield the same reply while case is in AP. My husband interviewed on July 21, 2023. Still in limbo 😢
  16. Yup, that’s another mystery. I have not always received the automatic reply email when I’ve sent them one. Again, no consistency, rhyme or reason
  17. It took three months and a day for the Consulate to respond to the initial email we sent to supplement DS-5535 information, after two follow up emails too. There’s just no consistency
