  1. Congratulations!! 🎊 https://cfo.gov.ph/cfo-hybrid-frontline-services-for-guidance-and-counseling-program/
  2. Yup, some people get called as early as two weeks. Eight weeks is crucial. Some applicants were called on their sixth and seventh weeks to get treatment started. They usually call on Fridays. I pray there are no calls for you! 🙂
  3. Beautiful photos! ♥ Thank you for sharing! Yes, @Edward and Jaycel is right. 🙂
  4. A gesture of respect for an elder person/family member. Called "pagmamano" or "mano" 🙂
  5. Did she use her passport as the primary id when she applied for the 2021 NBI? If not, try to use the ID used at that time. If still doesn't work, your plan could work too!
  6. She is cleared and passed the interview 🙂
  7. Heyyyaaa!! Glad to hear you had great time! ☺️ Filipinos are always known for being hospitable and generous (not necessarily monetary but with time and effort specially for someone dear to us). Let’s get that K1 started! ☺️Goodluck!
  8. Visa issuance will be delayed and will be under 221g due to pending medical results. If culture is clear after 8 weeks, applicants will be instructed to send the passport to USEM via LBC for issuance.
  9. I hope they want them back for immunization. Or could be pulmonary evaluation. The reason should be on the paperwork returned to them. This information came from a group chat of applicants on Facebook. Here’s the link and a chat from one of the applicatants. https://m.me/ch/AbY65UjY8lomBtPa/?send_source=cm:copy_invite_link
  10. Since she have the old NBI from 2021 then that’s so much better. Go to the website and choose “Renew” then enter the details required. 🙂 Hopefully she can secure an NBI at the embassy too like what top_secret mentioned. That’s the best option.
  11. For now, start prepping the other documents required for the CFO. When the visa is on hand, scheduling should be smooth sailing. ⠀ Good luck!
  12. She will get the packet soon. ☺️ Based on what I read on group chats there are consuls/windows that are known to process approvals faster and some are longer-a week or so. It seemed like she got to the one who’s slow.
  13. NBI is required for a consular interview, not during the filing. 🙂 To obtain it, she might need to be in the Philippines because it requires biometrics unless she has records of her old NBI and its numbers, log on to the website so she can request it online on the PSA Serbilis website and have it delivered.
  14. SLEC implemented a new rule that applicants can proceed with their immunization and interview despite being under sputum. In return, they will be under 221g due to pending medical. A visa will not be issued yet until the results are cleared and sent to USEM. Once cleared, they will be notified to send their passports via LBC to USEM.
  15. Good Day! Does anybody have an idea what is the validity of the remedical after finishing DOT treatment? Is it 3 months?
  16. You have to use the NVC number. Starts with MNL2024****
  17. I live in QC and work in BGC - it takes 3 hours for me to arrive and it 17kms only. 😆 Even worse with BER months! (September - December) Grab is available 24 hours Stay at the terminal and book from there. They will fetch you from your pinned location.
  18. Not advisable to drive for a newcomer. Manila has terrible traffic and bad drivers. LOL. Do not hail or get a taxi from the airport. Just use Grab - nothing else. Observe the traffic, streets etc to gauge and see if you can handle driving here.
  19. Congratulations on your journey! ☺️ I’m not entirely sure how long the CR1 process nowadays but what I can tell you is K1 approval now is as short as 60 days! And if all goes smooth (I hope it does!!), medical is smooth she can fly out to the US in 5-6 months. I’ve seen a lot of cases like this! Plus embassy is finally opening up more interview slots now (Tuesdays). November slots are open already as early as today. Goodluck!
  20. It's just crazy that they let go of those who have latent TB and advise "Make sure you don't get cough and sick etc etc" without thinking about the possibility of turning into active TB in the future. Annoying.
  21. Good day! I am updating my post! 🙂 I just finished the Intensive Phase of my treatment plan. I did not have any issues or negative side effects on the medication. The IP lasted two months and we must undergo a 2-day sputum collection each month. All my tests came back negative along with the initial AFB and culture. Unfortunately, I still have to finish the remaining 4 months which is the Maintenance Phase with Fixcom (2 TB drugs). It's also unfortunate that the new SLEC medical seems unfair when it comes to diagnosing PTB. The applicants with positive IGRA (test latent tb) did not undergo 8 weeks and were immunized. Whilst here we are, we were not even given the chance or benefit of the doubt and judged quickly over a film instead of confirmatory tests available. When I spoke to a pulmonologist during my evaluation last week, she sounded like "Yeah, ooop! Sorry you don't have TB but you have to finish months cos we started it already". I made a lot of friends on my DOT journey; all have different experiences and one thing we found in common is SLEC doctors are not calibrated. They tell different things to others with the same cases, some rely on their hunch, some are defensive when asked difficult questions by applicants who happen to be in the medical field also and a lot more.
  22. SLEC is really messed up! The new medical guidelines are stirring up confusion for many K1 beneficiaries. I have read a lot of feedback about getting positive results on IGRA for latent PTB and was cleared for immunization.
  23. I was able to obtain 2 NBI. The renewal of the one I posted and one with my FULL MAIDEN NAME as an AKA .
