Thanks, for sharing the info.
what is process for applying SSN#? At the government website, it is mentioned that "If you requested an SSN card as part of your visa application, U.S. Department of State (DoS), the electronic Form DS 260, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security will share with us the information needed to issue you an SSN card. Therefore, you do not need to fill out a special application or go to a Social Security office to get an SSN."
And we requested it in our DS 260 form, so does it mean after we give landing, it will be mailed to us without going to SSN office? Did your parents got their SSN like this? However, my US adress is changed compared to what I mentioned in DS 260 form, so if I give during my landing the new address would they change it at the boarder so I get SSN card at my new address? I gave my new address to the doctor office while doing my second medical and they said they will send the consulate new address. SO may be address change is already done, but consulate never asked me to open the DS 260 form and change the address.
