  1. Congrats! Our timelines are very similar and we used the same law firm lol.
  2. Literally walk up and say "Hi, I am immigrating to the States today" and the process will take 2 minutes at the booth. That was my case in Calgary airport
  3. Hey folks - I finally received my physical green card and the process is finally over. I paid the fee on July 5, crossed July 17th, and the green card was delivered on Sept 3rd. My SSN was never produced after 3 weeks so I went to the SSA office (twice) and got them to issue a new one, even though I had checked on the form for them to do that so watch out and plan for that to happen potentially.
  4. Alright folks, final update as promised! Officially crossed over today, July 17th on an IR1 (airport crossing). No secondary required, was amazed that I only had to stay at the counter for all of maybe 5 mins until I got a "congratulations, welcome to the US" response from the border agent. - Jan 30, 2024 interview with 221g DS 5535 refusal. - Filed WOM June 5, 2024, defendants served June 21, 2024 - Passport requested back July 2 - flew to Montreal to hand deliver passport on the 5th. I had a back and forth email exchange with them the 3rd letting them know I was coming in person on the 5th. - Showed up first thing at 730am and came back to retrieve passport at noon same day. Do I think my WOM played a factor? Yes, and I don't regret spending the money one bit. I wish the best of luck to everyone!
  5. Crossing over to the US tomorrow. Sold off all my stocks yesterday in my TFSA and about to liquidate. Wondering if it made more sense to liquidate tomorrow (same day I transfer over). Does anybody know? A bit confused if the same day liquidation causes issues with IRS?
  6. Yes I delivered it in person, got call few hours later to come pick it up i had a very tight timeline of when my medical expires so I wasn't going to trust mailing it in. Got my butt on a plane as fast as I could.
  7. Congrats to all this week! Love seeing the progress happening. I'm currently leaving Montreal with my stamped passport in hand. What a week... hasn't even fully hit me yet. Can't wait to be reunited with my spouse and start living life again without this unknown lingering in the background. Will provide a final update once I cross over in the next week or two. Have a great weekend all.
  8. They did not provide me with a link or other details but I did register last year for the courier service.
  9. Wow... just got the email to send my passport. It doesn't say the mailing address.. anybody know?
  10. Seem to be getting some traction on my WOM filing... filed in early June, and received first unsolicited update on June 27th and the second one today (July 2nd). Hopefully they're working on it..
  11. Sorry but 15 months to complete AP is unacceptable. Especially when they tell people at the interview that it will be a few weeks.
  12. Do you mind letting us know which law firm you hired? I ask because I see a trend of motion to dismiss cases ONLY when law firms file under causes that are not Cause 08:1329 Immigration: Writ of Mandamus to Adjudicate Visa Petition (for example. filing instead under 05:702 Administrative Procedure Act). The majority of 08:1329 cases go into voluntary dismissal (visa is approved).
