Same! Their standard business days are definitely Monday - Friday but I too have certainly seen some weekend approval dates. Not sure if someone is actively working on the weekend or if the system just happened to generate the approval letter on the weekend. I think either is very feasible. Either way, I just pray the pace picks up. It's daunting 🥹

I get it, trust me. I recommend just following the July 2023 forum for now to get an idea about what dates they're at. Once we move to August approvals, then I'd be more worried if you're seeing approvals for your PD and beyond but you haven't received any updates.

The best way to prepare for the NVC stage is to start preparing/gathering the required documents and being prepared to pay the fees as soon as it available. The police certificate(S) especially is a good starting point, since for some people that could take some time depending on location and/or how many police records they're having to get. Ensuring you have vaccination record available and even getting the required ones that you don't already have. Also, for documents that needs to be translated, if applicable.

I'm certain by now you must've seen all those posts/comments advising those estimates are not correct and really don't mean anything. I've seen people being at 5 months…. 10 months until decision on the day their case gets approved. Do yourself a favor and don't give those estimates too much thought.

I think those letters are probably system generated because I've seen Saturday/Sunday approval dates too. So I wonder if a decision was made by the reviewing office during the work week but sometimes there are longer than usual delays in the system generating the approval notice. Maybe that also explains why so many people will receive notification that an action was taken on their case but the letter appears hours later. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I am starting this thread in hopes of getting input from applicants who recently completed the medical exam/embassy appointment for a CR1 visa in Jamaica. I saw an old post where multiple VJ members shared reports of their spouse denying history of marijuana use during the medical exam and/or testing negative on drug test but was subsequently referred for a psychiatric evaluation. About 3 or so members on the post with a similar experience reports their spouse either had locs and/or identified as a Rastafarian. Hence, they were led to believe the referral was based on being profiled due to having locs. The thread has since been locked by moderators and so I would love some updated insights. Anyone with recent experience that has locs with similar or different experience in Jamaica?

I can't imagine how frustrating that wait time must be. However, I feel their position is superior to mine in that they are already experiencing the benefit they applied for…(safety). Me, on the other hand, I’m having to wait to experience the benefit of reunification so wayyy more frustrating. I believe if my spouse was already here and just adjusting status, the wait would be more tolerable.

Congrats! I also saw another one on Reddit today approved out of California SC with PD July 7th. However, this one (in screenshot attached) really made me angry. While I'm happy for the persons (so nothing personal towards them) it is so upsetting that there's people waiting upwards of 15 months (or more) and then person in screenshot applies in Jan 2024 for the same consular processing and was already approved. Smh

@Cookie88 Have you seen any further approvals elsewhere? If so, what PDs are you seeing? I haven't seen much updates on this thread and the July thread is nothing but conspiracy theorists lol

It should be based on the priority date on the notice.

I've seen others with this similar experience report the letter pops up in the documents tab a couple hours of the email notice.

Hi, if I remember correctly, you can add extra pages to provide additional info, as well as, some forms have extra pages of the end for you to include additional information.
