  1. My spouse is still waiting to receive his police certificate which so far, is the only outstanding document needed to submit to the NVC. I read on another forum of individuals being able to submit the receipt for the police certificate application and be DQ’ed and then take the official report to their interview. Is this correct? Anyone has had this experience or heard of same?
  2. NVC is applicable to everyone doing consulate processing so yes, unfortunately applicants in that category will need to wait for file creation. Hopefully it doesn’t take a month. I’ve seen many people receive their welcome emails in a couple days but things are seemingly slowing down now as I’ve seen quite a few September approvals still waiting. But I’m been cautiously optimistic…
  3. I was approved on 10/12 but status stayed on actively reviewing until 10/16 when it updated to approved. It then updated to case sent to Department of State yesterday, 10/19. Someone also shared this link with me to be able to check NVC timeframes, which apparently updates once weekly. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html
  4. Anyone from the August thread already received the NVC Welcome Email? My case just updated yesterday saying sent to Department of State so I’m assuming it should be at the NVC now. Hopefully…🤞🏽
  5. Currently I130 with consular processing is estimated to be completed in 15.5 months on average.
  6. Thank you. I ended completing that one just to be safe but the more I read on the travel.state.gov website, I discovered the I864EZ form is acceptable too as long as the criteria is met.
  7. For the folks who were already DQ’ed, did you complete the I864EZ form or the long form? I meet the criteria for the I864EZ form so I’m assuming that would be accepted by the NVC?
  8. Finally approved!! 🎉🎉🎉 PD August 3, 2023 Approved: October 12, 2024 SC: Texas
  9. Omg! I’m so happy to see something move! The last two days were rough! Hooting for something favorable. Will update again as soon as.
  10. I just received the we have taken action on your account email and the second actively reviewing your case status. Nothing under documents yet though.
  11. I saw two Aug 2nd PD approvals on Reddit this morning! Looks like we’re off to an early start today. Hope the approvals keeps coming in all day for everyone!
  12. This lack of movement and seemingly no updates about approvals since last Thursday is suffocating. I still have not seen a consulate I130 approval past PD 7/28 🤯
  13. Oh thank you for the correction. I usually only follow the updates here and Reddit. I’m relieved to hear that because it means they’re getting closer to starting August but certainly understand your frustration. Hoping you get some positive news!
  14. I haven’t seen any 7/29 PD approvals so far. Latest date I saw as of Friday was 7/28. Fingers crossed you’ll have an update at the start of this coming week.
  15. I just got an email from USCIS that they received my inquiry but truly I haven’t submitted anything. I wonder if this means they’re in my case? 🤞🏽
  16. Looks like processing time is averaging around 15.5 months.
  17. @DonDJust wanted to direct you to the August thread since you commented on the June thread.
  18. Oh wow. That was sloppy and frustrating on your part I'm sure.
  19. I get it 100%! I work in the mental health field and can give expert advise on tools to cope but these last few months, I haven't even been able to take my own advise because I'm so burn-out emotionally and psychologically with the process. Here’s to better days ahead!
  20. I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with this and can certainly relate to the effect on one’s mental health. I would definitely recommend reaching out to your congressman or senator like you mentioned. So far, I haven't seen any evidence of this hurting someone's case. It usually does one of two things, either you receive a response saying it's within normal processing time frame and/or you receive an update on your case shortly thereafter. Nevertheless, I think it's within reasonable limits to reach out again. All the best!
