  1. We were DQd on October 8 and got our interview appointment on November 15. The appointment was January 15.
  2. Hi all, My spouse's embassy appointment was last week. They kept his passport, and we're just waiting for good news. Hang in there everyone...
  3. We are DQ! Waiting now on an interview date.
  4. Hi, I really empathize with your situation and am sorry you're going through it. After 13 months of waiting, I made a back-up plan to contact an immigration lawyer to inquire about mandamus proceedings If I hadn't heard anything by the end of the 14th month... you are well within your right to try the mandamus route and see what happens. It doesn't hurt to reach out to reach out to your senators, who can make a congressional inquiry on your behalf. You can also send a letter inquiry to USCIS (use the same mailing address you used to send your I-130).
  5. I am preparing the Form 260, which asks if the beneficiary was issued an Alien Registration Number (A-number) by the Department of Homeland Security. Can someone confirm if the A-number is the number circled in red in the image below? My spouse has a number just like this one in the NOA 2 approval letter from USCIS. TYIA.
  6. Hey, can someone confirm whether the number that appears on the NOA I-130 approval from USCIS next to the beneficiary's name is the beneficiary's alien registration number? It looks like the number in the red box (this is a sample image I found online, but my husband has a number like this).
  7. Submitting 2023 tax return, paystubs, and an employment verification letter from my employer just to be safe. My returns have been inconsistent since 2021 because I was living outside of the US.
  8. You can work on AOS or DS 260 simultaneously as long as the fees for those have been processed. I just got access to the forms today after submitting payment on Thursday.
  9. Good to know that I should look out via email! I thought it would come via snail mail.
  10. For those approved, did you get these updates also over the past couple of days? I'm wondering if that wait time for NVC to send us a case number starts from the date the case was sent or from when it was approved by USCIS
  11. Could any of you share tips on how you're preparing for the next NVC step? I was looking at a sample copy of Form 260 and wondering if it would help speed things up by preparing the answers to the questions so we can copy and paste. Also, I know it varies from consulate to consulate, but what estimates are you all seeing for timeframes between I-130 approval and interview?
  12. Mine was to the exact day!!
  13. Hello! We got our I-130 approval today!!!! PD July 11, 2023 Hope others have also been approved.
  14. Also still waiting. PD July 11, 2023
  15. This is usually successful for filers who submitted the I-129 within a few months of submitting the I-130. The I-129 takes 6 months to process on average, so it’s unclear if filing it now would help spur a decision on your existing I-130 petition.
  16. What are everyone’s VJ I-130 approval estimate dates? Our latest one says August 17
  17. Hello Wolle, You are not alone! I filed July 11, 2023 for my husband and he is in France! Our case is at the Texas Service Center. We didn’t expect this to take so long.
  18. Hello, congrats on your I-130 approval!! I filed July 11 for my French husband's IR-1 and we have been in the “Case is being actively reviewed" stage since August 25, 2023. We didn't file an I-129 for the K3 and now I'm wondering if this was a mistake. I am also now wondering if we should've filed online vs. submitting via dropbox, but that is how we were instructed to do by Boundless, which we used for the application process. We still have two months estimated wait time for the I-130, but I've heard it's taking 11 months on average. I'm confused as I didn't even know you could file online.
