Update: K2 visas expired due to not having the travel authorization certificate at time of travel. In any case does anyone know the procedure or the first steps in reapplying for a k2 visa if the original K1 is already in USA? Do I have to do another I129F petition and start all over again? Or do we need another medical exam and DS160 form? Anyone with experience in this situation your help would be appreciated can not find a solid answer on this and uscis will not even answer the question! Thanks 

UPdate: Consular called and will issue visas next week! However now if we can not get parental consent letter from other parent before march 16th we are screwed! Anyone know how to do the traveling with a minor consent form in DR?

The officer took the passports and said you will not have to come back here then said we just needed to send in the inextensa or original birth certificates because we had copied which we did 3 days later. The travel docs page confirms they received the documents but still no updates.

        Does anyone have any experience getting a 221G from the santo domingo embassy and returning the required documents how long did it take to get your case resolved we have been waiting 4 months after retrurning documents with no updates?

Same exact thing happened to us on september 30 of 2024 lol we had the extracts but needed the exstensa or original versions of birth certificates so got a 221g status and changed to refused. Shipped the originals back to embassy oct 3rd now waiting for update hopefully we receive the same luck will update!

Hi, was wondering if someone can explain exactly what i should be doing at this stage in the process? So I received the K1-FTP letter went online at ustraveldocs and did the DS-160 for all applicants and paid the 265 dollar fee for all applicants. The application asked a few more questions then I got this message "Your request to schedule an appointment has been received and will be reviewed. You will receive an email once your request is approved."  

Question 1: What does this message mean and what should I expect to happen?

Question 2: I have not done medical yet because I think I need to actually have a scheduled interview date "letter" in order to do so yes or no?

Question 3: I have completed the I-134 affidavit of support and have tax documents, vaccination records, passports and etc but these are not submitted online only brought with us to interview correct?

Question 4: I do not see an option to schedule a VAC yet on ustraveldocs first do we need to do a vac as well for K1? If so how do you schedule that?

How many days or how many weeks does it take for your approved k1 to arrive at NVC once sent? Mine was sent on may 29th how long should i expect to wait until NVC receives it? 

ok i thought the charge of 265$ per kid was part of the I-129F application apparently that is only for the DS-160 correct?

Anyone know why USCIS would only charge 535$ to the credit card if the total fee i permitted was 1330$ which was for 3 k2 visas as well? Does this mean there is an issue with my application concerning the kids? Any help or advice on this would be helpful.
