Hi, I just finished my interview from the consular office. And will be sending my I601 vaccine waiver form to the USCIS. Would like to hear from other's experience as of how long it has been for you to get approved with the same type of waiver. I've seen from 10 days to almost one year. Therefore, i'd like to get some perspective and know what to expect with more recent wait time!

Hello, I'm the petitioner in the process for my IR1 visa. And i'm going to apply for a religious vaccine waiver. I've got my medical exam done today. However, the civil surgeon in my country said that she has never encounter someone who is going to apply for a vaccine waiver here. Therefore, she's not sure what to do. She just leave a note stating that i will be applying for vaccine waiver later on. I'd like to ask if this is sufficient action from the civil surgeon as I also have a hard time finding someone who share the same experience in my country in any forums. And would the next step be go through the interview at the consular office and also just let them know i'll be applying for a i601 vaccine waiver then submit that to the USCIS? Hi all, I've recently received the interview date and about to go through medical exam. I know i'm going to file for the religion vaccine waiver. My question is:, Is it ok that i file the waiver before the interview gets denied, or maybe just after the medical exam when i receive the RFE from the panel surgeon, or would i have to wait until after the interview and get a RFE to then submit the I601 waiver? The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household members and joint sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: * Other income * Assets * Proof of current employment Note: You submitted documentation to the National Visa Center through the Consular Electronic Application Center CEAC. You can continue to upload documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview. Above are the exact wording, it seems pretty clear that we will have to bring all the documents to the interview and let the consular officer evaluate. However, i'm not sure if they are requesting for additional joint sponsor because my current joint sponsor does not qualify or they're only asking me to prepare a back up joint sponsor just in case. We do have another joint sponsor who is available, but we didn't choose to use him because he only meets the income requirement last year and this concurrent year, instead of all the past three years as it seems to be requested. Is it possible to also use him as a back up to bring to the interview, as i've read that current income is what really matters.

Hi there, my husband is USC working abroad for the past 10 years. Therefore, we need to find a joint sponsor for our GC application. Our joint sponsor has 5 kids so his taxed income didn't meet the requirement. However, he is in the US air force and got all sorts of military benefits including housing allowance, food allowances etc...). All these untaxed income has shown on his pay stubs which we have also submitted to the NVC along with his tax transcript. With taxed and untaxed income he is making well above the poverty line. We still got an RFE stating that his total income is not sufficient and asking us to bring the other joint sponsor's documents or additional supporting documents for our current joint sponsor to the interview. My questions is, do we need to submit additional documents to the NVC before they schedule us for an interview and do we really need to find another joint sponsor and bring the documents to the interview or is our joint sponsor's income enough and just let the consular office determine the totality of our situation?
