  1. I've seen cbp pull people aside for questions on outbound flights in jetway. But it's not very widespread
  2. Ok. So there would always be a name change document either from uscis or the court. I had a coworker claim social security administration changed her name with just the passport and no document of name changed when she became a US citizen.
  3. So there is a separate document besides the naturalization certificate?
  4. I'm I correct that uscis gives you a name change document if you change your name when you become a citizen? I would think that they would or is it done through a court order?
  5. ^^ Meant to say if 751 is approved, filing doesn't guarantee approval.
  6. You only get the letter if the 751 is applicable. Merely filing the form doesn't guide that it would be approved
  7. By how much? The correct way is to return back and file I 130. Was this the intention all along?
  8. Please complete your timelines. Perhaps you hear something by June. NOA2. Officially 80 percent of cases decided within 13.5 months at California service center which is where all cases are handled except those that get transferred to Vermont for background issues.
  9. Wow I would think the clerk would want to verify documents in person before issuing the license. What state?
  10. Both parties must apply in person with identification for marriage license
  11. You already have a Green Card. It's the entry stamp and visa in your passport
  12. It's all about the petitioner being able to support the intending immigrant, and their children if any
  13. I'm the US citizen petitioner. I don't have any knowledge of how it's handled in India, however everyone goes through the same process of filing the petition and waiting for the NVC to do it's thing. I've learned a great knowledge about the process from this website. If there is a backlog at your embassy then there is not much you can do. That said, you can be proactive in contacting the nvc for case number and completing the necessary DS-160,and trying to schedule the interview and medical.
  14. I'm not sure about wait times, but if you don't already have the case number from nvc you will definitely need it for completion of DS-160 and scheduling of the interview and medical. If the petition was approved in February nvc most likely has the case number but you have to email them. Finally please create your timelines
  15. Fire that lawyer. Once you have case number from nvc, you can schedule interview and medical, and fill out DS-160. If you don't know the case number from nvc, you can make email inquiry.
  16. Shouldn't be an issue, but how long is the trip? When is the interview? How long has he been a Green Card holder? Is this under 3 or 5 years ?
  17. Processing times are roughly the same for either k1 or spouse visa. Can't comment on the visa interview location as I'm not in those location. I believe people are interviewing in Israel in this case but it may be worth it to research what other countries would your fiancee be able to travel to.
  18. Yes you must file the 751 no more than 90 days before the green card expires. This is the best site to be on. I've learned alot myself as I stumbled on this website by chance reading about the reviews of the embassy in Manila. E
  19. Uscis didn't do anything. Hopefully you printed it out. Maybe call tech support for apple?
  20. Was your check cashed? Or card charged? Did the return receipt come back in the mail?
  21. Please complete your timelines. Are you referring to noa 1 or 2. If 1, something is amiss. If 2 perhaps it would be adjudicatated shortly. Was your check cashed? Or card charged?
  22. You have to wait until a visa number is available. What country?
