  1. I have been looking at some timelines and I noticed that most RFE's are received before the biometrics appointment. Is this true or did I just only see those? I'm asking because I checked one wrong box (8.61 public charge question) and I am wondering if they would even send an RFE if that is the only thing wrong with my filed documentation. Apparently I am by default subject to it and I already provided the additional info they ask there in the package like household size and income. Anyone heard about this particular oops in the form and RFE or not? I saw one topic on it, but the OP had a list of things in the RFE so I can see where they would include that part than too. Maybe someone has an educated opinion on this?
  2. I used it with my birth certificate, no translation was asked for. In fact, it actually said on the list of documents I had to bring that I needed the international copy of my birth certificate. You could translate but seems redundant because all you would be doing is put the English words on the EU document on a separate piece of paper.
  3. Unless they find out some new information that would make him inadmissible, you're probably good. I was worried as well, the officer seemed to have said to me that all was good and should be approved as soon as my medical got in, but it wasn't a straight approval with me either and the week where it said my visa was 'refused' before it changed to administrative processing and then approved, was uncomfortable to say the least. I also waited with celebrating (and quitting my job and canceling my lease and such) until I had the visa in hand. For me that took 2 weeks as my medical was still on its way, for you that may be shorter. I wouldn't worry about it, although I know I can say that but you still will because I went to this forum for the same answer and was still stressed out until approved and even until delivery of the physical passport with visa. Keep us updated!
  4. I agree with @TBoneTX. You need to get your head out of your behind and start doing something. I am surprised by some comments here from people who think they can psychologically analyze your husband and judge his behavior while we only have one side of the story. Your posts show me that at least you, and possibly also your husband, have some growing up to do. My opinion is based on experience and is not meant to trash anyone but I am Dutch and we tend to be quite blunt. I have done this immigration thing both ways. I am now in the USA having filed my AOS but my husband moved to The Netherlands first well over a decade ago, so I have experience on both sides as I have been both petitioner and beneficiary. When my husband moved to The Netherlands it was because I wanted it, not because he wanted to leave the USA. It was all about me me me back then because I had a horse, I had my family, I had my friends, I had an apartment so you could say I almost forced him to leave HIS stuff behind and move there and since I didn't even have a stable job back then, we had to get him there on an entrepreneur permit which meant he better grow a thriving business because he would not be allowed to work on that permit, nor could he get any type of benefits if needed. My husband is a very kind hearted man who loves me very much, so he never blamed me for anything and we never had any significant fights over it, but he would have been absolutely right if he had! And we weren't even married yet so all he had to do was get on a plane to fly home. But he stayed for 9+ years even though he was miserable. The work he wanted to do and was qualified for was no option to do self-employed as it would need a big financial investment and I couldn't afford that and we didn't want to spend his savings because we were already talking about moving to the USA one day back then. As a man he was unable to be the main provider and he felt emasculated. I was your age then, but we differ in that I was constantly busy with taking action to make things better. I took jobs way below my level and took extra cleaning jobs to make sure I could feed us and pay our bills and stay in our apartment so I didn't have to also drag him to my parents. As sweet as they both are, that is not what I promised him and would never have done to him. Never once did I talk to my then boyfriend disrespectfully when he had days where he felt more miserable than others because after all, it was ME who brought him there and I was the one responsible. Did we have fights? Yes, but they were rare and it always ended with me saying sorry because I knew I was the cause. It took me 5-6 years to finally get financially stable and comfortable and get him on a new permit that would allow him to work, but by then we also decided that we would move to the USA and the business we set up for his first permit was actually generating some work and income. It was HARD. But life is hard, you need to learn how to deal with situations where it doesn't go as you had envisioned. If that is not something you're ready for and can undergo together, then you shouldn't have married. But you did and even though divorce certificates are being given out as candy, you shouldn't want that. You chose each other, now work for it. When I read your post and replies I just roll my eyes and blame it on the times and realize I am an old-fashioned, conservative old hag who wishes she could go back to the 80's. Like I said, we were in a terrible situation for 5-6 years and didn't even need a divorce to get away from each other, but our situation didn't cause my man to whine at me or me to go on a message board to trash my man and definitely after only a couple months! OMG how are you going to handle being married for 50 years? In good times and in bad times, sickness and in health, that includes this situation. But marriage is not worth much for many these days. The time that you spent on here trying to get people to side with you so you can get confirmation that your complaints are valid and it's all his fault, you could have worked at your second job (if you have a first) so you could afford a somewhat better place until you guys get comfortable enough to get a nice place. As long as he can't work, that IS your responsibility. The 'I didn't live in the US for a long time' excuse is invalid, YOU are the USC and YOU need to have your ^%&* in order. Your husband is miserable because the USA and the way you guys are living is not what he expected from it. I wonder if he set his expectations too high or if you did. I have a feeling it's the latter. I can't be the only one wanting to hear the other side of the story.
  5. What a lot of pictures! I sent in 1, maybe 2 max with the I-129F. We did also provide evidence that we had been living together in The Netherlands for nearly a decade so I guess that helps. I also do not see an issue with that picture. I would be surprised if the officer would see an issue.
  6. Oh that is good to hear. Hopefully it will soon update to that!
  7. I had my biometrics yesterday, but it didn't change to 'case being reviewed' like it says for some on here, for me it says 'September 4, 2024 Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken' I'm confused now.
  8. Well I said that years ago when people thought 'rona was over and claimed something like that would never happen again. I laughed out loud and said 'wait until 2024'. They used to have the BLM stuff every election year but that kinda blew up in their faces and apparently a pandemic is very useful to steal an election, so that's what they will use again and again to get what they want. They won't succeed though.
  9. It would be hilarious if it weren't so damn serious. This election will literally change the course of history.
  10. HAHAHAHAHA! 2024: A logger sells a truckload of lumber for $500 because of inflation. His cost of production is $400 + $300 for gas to fill up the truck. He will file chapter 11 in a month when his savings are depleted after 3.5 years of Bidenomics. Define communism.
  11. Sorry I didn't read this whole thread. "With whose money" is a great question you will never get answered. This whole saga STINKS. There were at least 3-4 shooters, there is NO WAY this kid hit Trump so accurately (well he would have if GOD hadn't intervened) with a [deleted] AR15 with a red dot while he was just interrupted by a police officer. Anyone following Dan Bongino on the case?
  12. You are right, unfortunately. People who paid attention knew this years ago. But the majority of people is too busy watching Kim Kardashian eat a salad and be famous for no reason to forensically examine the obviously strange and discordant events of November 8, 2020 and beyond.
  13. Deranged Jack Smith continues to burn the taxpayer's money for his personal vendetta. Sometimes I wonder what they have on the guy for him to keep up this sham. Normally I would say because it's an election year and the democrats and rino's will stop at nothing to do whatever is needed to keep the system on life support, but this goes deep for some reason. So I wonder who's pulling his strings.
  14. Oops, same here. I also checked 'no', very confusing indeed. So wait for an RFE or can I just resend the form, signed, with that part fixed?
  15. Interesting. I requested the full medical as well, as I paid for it and it should be mine, but I was told they were only allowed to provide me with my (incomplete) DS-3025.
  16. My sponsors have enough income so I left all my own stuff empty. It's up to you I guess. I decided not to get any, but when I was still in The Netherlands I read that there was something for people who were moving to a different country, but it was incredibly expensive. If you have health problems now you will probably need to get something like it, but since I don't have any health issues, I decided not to take it. I think the bank fees from The Netherlands to the USA is about 12 euros per transaction, so depending on the amount you send it's not bad at all, no clue what Austrian banks charge though. I have used Wise before the other way around and that went smoothly as well. Do NOT take euros here and deposit into your USD bank account, the exchange rate they offer here was ridiculous. Make sure that if you take cash in USD and not in EUR. You can bring as much as you want, as long as you declare it and have evidence of where it came from. Not sure if that would give issues, I had never heard of it so had to look it up. We wanted to save time and money and plan on renewing our vows and having a real wedding when my family can be there, and my husband didn't want to do the courthouse thing, so we did the online Utah marriage. Was hilarious, quick and comfortable in our hoodies on the couch HAHA! They provided two Philippine women as witnesses for us and a minister married us. I think that was around $500 and we received a digital certificate, a video and the official certificate in the mail 3 days later. I'd do it again so highly recommended!
  17. Only the most recent is required, the previous 2 years are optional (according to instructions of form I-485)
  18. You're not going o get all that for $1440 I'm afraid. If you want to apply for all three it will be $1440 for I-485 alone, then $260 for the work permit (I-765) and another $630 for your Advance Parole, or travel permit (I-131). I opted out of both the I-765 and the I-131 as I do not need to work and as for the Advance Parole I saw too many being approved so closed to the actual approval of I-485 that it's not worth $630 to me. I also had to file a waiver for $1050 so I decided $2490 was enough for now.
  19. Same here. Was delivered on 07/05, NOA just came yesterday, dated 08/14. You should probably receive your email notification in about 2 weeks if your timeline is similar.
  20. I had the same concern after I had seen many on this forum get their NOA's so quickly. I sent in my package on July 3rd, with FedEx, they received it and signed for it on July 5th, I got my NOA's and biometrics appointment in the mail yesterday dated 08/14, postal stamped 08/16. So it took quite a while to be delivered also. My checks were cashed the same day USCIS sent out the NOA's (08/16) so as soon as your CC is charged your NOA should be on its way! When did you file?
  21. Ken Paxton is right. I get so furious when I see illegal immigrants being handed everything on a silver platter and people like myself and most people on here spending a lot of time and money and gaining a lot of grey hairs from the stress from doing it the right way, including having to pay double the fees since April 1st so that they can process the illegals for free. The immigration process is hard, you have to really want to work for it but that is the way it should be, as much as I would love to get that green card handed over for free! This nonsense will be over after November the 5th.
  22. At any time now that is going to change to VISA ISSUED. Congrats!
  23. As someone who made an oops in their K1 Visa journey, I know for a fact that the only stamped and original, approved I-129F is in the VISA package you get from the consulate with your passport and visa that is SEALED and you SHOULD NOT OPEN (lol!) but hand over to the CBP officer at your port of entry (even if they do not ask for it!), who will then send it to USCIS. So you will receive it but you are not supposed to see it, it's in the sealed visa package together with your complete immigration file.
  24. I brought bank statements of both my then fiancé as well as my joint sponsor (my fiancé jut moved back to the US after having lived in The Netherlands for 10 years) of the past year. That turned out to be too much lol, as I was told I was kind of 'overprepared'. She did keep the most recent statements though. I attached the tax returns for 2022 with them as I didn't have 2023 yet in January and when I filed my AOS package I just included the whole shebang again for 2022 and added 2023 as the most recent. They probably have some double paperwork now but I rather give too much than not enough and get an RFE. The 3 years of tax return is optional. I added the income of all three years of my joint sponsor to the form with my AOS, but didn't add the tax returns. My joint sponsor is retired with VA benefits so there is not much changing except for it going up each year and my husband didn't have a US income. I would add all three years if easy to obtain just to be sure if you have regular jobs though. Just in case. I brought my latest employment contract and salary in the Netherlands to my interview even though I thought it was odd they would care/ask since I would leave my job, but I think they kept those as well. So if your fiancé has a good paying job and a solid contract overseas now, that might actually help the consulate decide, who knows. I would assume they want to see if you can support yourself as soon as you get your work permit by checking what you did and for how long in your own country. Because I would have no idea why else they would want to see that.
