No you don't need a stamped approved I-129F. I brought my own copy of the petition, but they didn't even look at it. The stamped approved I-129F is with the embassy/consulate. You will get that in the sealed envelope after you are approved. That sealed envelope stays sealed and you give that to the officer at the POE, who checks it and sends it to USCIS, who then has your stamped, approved I-129F. So you will get it, you just don't get to SEE it. As far as I am aware you should never have it yourself besides in that visa package. It goes from USCIS to (I think, but maybe someone can correct me) the NVC, then to your embassy, then to your consulate, then in the sealed package which you give to the CBP officer at the POE, who then sends it back to USCIS.
