On average, he's trailing Trump by about the same amount as Trump was trailing him at this time in 2020. I'd definitely take Haley over Biden. She will never beat Trump in the primary though.

He's getting beaten at the polls pretty bad now. Hopefully, this continues. Biden has been bad beyond my wildest dreams.

Waiting one year for an interview is fast? Even if they are servicing March 2023 DQ, that is horrendously and embarrassingly slow.

Thanks for the info. Well, I don't know that particular law, but if it is in effect, they are certainly breaking it. I think you've participated in another thread about this, but the amount of CR1/IR1 visas that have been processed each month (compared to F-category visas and certainly tourist visas) has been appalling. It's to the point that we started the process in mid-2023 and I'm convinced that my wife will not be able to come to the US until 2026/2027 unless we find a way to switch embassies.

I don't know anything about K-1 visas honestly. I'm just reporting what I've observed among people I personally know here and read elsewhere. I'm a little confused though. There are no DQs for K-1 visas? I thought they went through NVC and needed to be DQ'd. I was talking to another poster who claimed to be good friends with a congressman. That congressman supposedly told him that the reason for the problems (at least at the Manila embassy) is the NVC not adapting to new appointment regulations in Manila (and some other consulates). I initially thought this was a crazy theory, but your comment is making me question my logic. Would you say that this explanation is plausible (that the cause is NVC and not the embassy itself)?

Are they? I haven't heard that. I'm in the Philippines right now and it seems like everyone is getting a K1 interview within weeks of being DQ'd.

Not for spousal visas. They haven't sent out an interview letter since June. People have been DQ'd since May with no end in sight. See the giant thread on this forum and the many Facebook groups on this topic for more details. As of right now, for immediate relatives of US citizens, probably only Islamabad and Mexico are worse (like I said, for now).

Just be thankful you're in China. Even if you don't get expedited, I've heard the embassies there are at least reasonable. My wife is in the Philippines. I have doubts that she'll ever get to the US given the blatant discrimination against immediate relatives of US citizens that the Manila embassy has been displaying.

F1 - 319 F2B - 378 F3 - 132 F4 - 266 All individually higher than spousal visas. Guess the Manila embassy and the US government are showing us how important reuniting immediate family members is to them.

Thanks for the explanation. If true, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. At least there's a chance of getting a sympathetic court that rules in your favor. If you get an unsympathetic court, the worst you're out is a few grand. No real harm or foul. Another weird thing I've found is that lawyers that I've talked to can't seem to agree if the courts look at the entire length of the case or simply the time where it was under the specific jurisdiction you're suing (most seem to favor the former, but I've heard someone favor the latter theory).

My understanding when it comes to the docket delay is that it highly depends on where you file it. Yes, mandamus lawsuits have increased over the past year (and for good reason), but it doesn't necessarily mean that it'll take forever. My understanding (from a ton of research) is that, if it's filed correctly, it still often takes 90 days or so. Of course, if you get pushback from the government, that timeline will be longer. I've talked to a few different lawyers about this and their opinions vary, but, if I were DQ'd already, I'd probably give it a shot (not saying that's what you should do). But I've also considered a wide range of different options (including moving my wife to a different country). What do you mean about the rubber-band analogy?

That sucks. I'm also a 100% disabled vet. The condition is what I'm rated highly for. What kind of evidence did you submit that resulted in a rejection? It seems like these kinds of cases were being approved for expedites in 2023. It's just awful how the US treats its veterans.

I meant that I have some degree of reassurance that I could at least apply for it online (obviously, I have no assurance of a particular result). The only other thread I found on this topic was from 2 years ago. The USCIS online representative told the person that they had to send a snail mail letter to their service center just to inquire as to how to start the process. That situation would be much worse. Hi all. I've been living abroad with my wife. I have a severe potentially life threatening health condition and, quite frankly, the healthcare in this country is atrocious (I had a near miss recently). So I'm very concerned about my health while living here. However, my wife is my primary caretaker and I don't have anyone in the US. Of course, the healthcare is good in the US. So I'm in a bad situation either way and considering an expedite request. I filed my wife's petition 6 months ago from her country and I'm booked to go home over the next few weeks. It seems like, if I stay here, I have to mail the expedite request somewhere (and, based on previous threads, it seems like no one will actually respond to it). Should I just mail it to our service center? Or should I wait to get home, change my address, and then apply for it online? Is this option even possible? Thank you.
