well I'm currently waiting inline for interview date from consulate after NVC DQ, which I'm being told wait time to receive a interview letter/ date is currently 18 months. How is everybody else doing with timelines?

Is there anywhere I can check relating to a specific consulate? My consulate is Abu Dhabi UAE, when I look up wait times for interview on google, the IR5 doesn’t come up but for all other visa categories I see 21-22 days currently would that be approx accurate?

Hi All- I have received DQ note on my IR5 application for my dad today, NVC email says they will work with consulate to setup interview. does anyone know what is the estimated time to have interview scheduled after DQ, I have read 2 months max some places and some others said 1 year not very clear. oh thats annoying sorry to hear, if you submit evidence they prob wont hold for longer, what do they need

yea nothing so far for the other one. I think NVC identifies the best consulate and sends approved document file to the consulate to go inline for an appointment date.

So I did receive the NOA for both parents in mail today, I also received an email from NVC only for my mom yesterday, so not sure what has happened to my dad's case with NVC yet if they have received the file from USCIS. Should I action anything on my mom's application or wait until my dad's NVC welcome email arrives? I want to make sure they get the same appointment for the consulate whenever that happens. Thanks!

Thanks so much, this is very helpful! Is there anywhere online to check what the current timelines are at each consulate to for interviews? I have picked the Abu Dhabi consulate on the I-130 form, but I heard the NVC may change consulate depending on how busy the chosen consulate is at the time and if they can better distribute cases, they send to a less crowded consulate. Is this true at all? it might be specific to cases from Iran as there are no consulates in the country so any of the neighboring countries are an option - but I'm not sure.

Thank you! One says sent to department of state and the other is still at case Approved - the department of state is same as NVC? I though we get the welcome letter in mail, should I expect it in email also like you said above?

I was also checking this link but I didnt know about it being updated once a week so good to know, and it says they are creating cases for cases as of Feb 15th today, so it looks like be 3 weeks behind, so I wonder if it would actually take another 3 weeks to receive the welcome letter. I'm trying to access timeline, for when I submit docs, they DQ at NVC and send to consulate and want to know a rough estimate of the month for when my parents get their interview appointment

Do you mean you got your NVC welcome letter a couple of days after USCIS approved your case (approval document showed up in your USCIS account)? or is this after you got welcome letter, paid fees and then documents showed up for you to fill out on CEAC?

Hi All, creating this thread for all who's I-130 has been approved and moved on to NVC stage - to discuss specific questions, wait times being experienced etc I started the application for my parents in March 2023, on March 8th 2024 I saw the approval document show up for both parents under the documents tab however I haven't received anything from NVC yet, and one parent says approved/closed and the other still shows pending/ months to decision even though the Approval letter shows under the documents tab, I believe there are delays to the status update and this should also show approved soon. My question is how long does it take for NVC to create the case and send the welcome letter after USCIS approval? what wait times is everyone experiencing for NVC to review and DQ the case/ ready to send to the consulate, once all documentation are submitted? it would be very helpful to share your experiences. My case is approved today under the documents tab I see the approval notice, PD was March 20th 2023 - and approved March 8th 2024 - Nebraska Service center. Does anyone know what needs to be done now? Do I have to wait until NVC sends the welcome letter by mail -how long that normally takes? Can I pay fees prior to that and start the forms?

I think thats a good sign, usually happens when they pick up your file and someone is working on it, I may be wrong but what I have seen from other people
