  1. Congrats to all that received their IL, that was a long wait……

I finish work for good on Friday and we all fly out on the 28th, we have sold or selling all our stuff, it’s quite weird watching your home empty and having to live on takeaways lol…

hope all you interviews go smooth, take all the paperwork, too much is good, not enough is bad lol

We stayed in the Premier inn Clapham, it’s very close and in the same road as the Sainsbury’s Nine Elms, the reason that’s important is that you can park in the Sainsbury’s car park for free for 3 hours, it’s about a 5 min walk to the embassy from Sainsbury’s.

we got approved on the day and had our passports back by the Thursday, so a 3 day turn around, was all very smooth…

    good luck everyone

  2. Just had my interview this morning, your post helped a lot, we were very prepared and like you taken very promptly..

staff were amazing and even uploaded my ACRO to ceac as original had expired.

Got approved and now just waiting on passports, hope they are as quick as yours..!

  3. For anyone that’s interested and read this thread, we had our visa interview in London embassy this morning at 830…

we walked out the door at 1030 with our visa approved 😊😊😊

I had been a bag of nerves for 3 weeks and it’s been mentally tough, expensive and being from Glasgow a long drive twice in 2 weeks…

but it’s all worth it knowing we can now move to the USA and be with friends and family.

I remember you, that was on 14th Jan I guess. I know you’re in EB visa category too. I just asked here to see if anyone in cr1 and IR could see any changes…

Hi Abena and everyone else, we had our visa interview at London embassy this morning at 830am, we were taken to the window within 10 mins, we handed over all the docs requested and were asked to sit back down, 35 mins later we were called back up, finger prints taken again and asked to raise our right hand and swear we were telling the truth.

a couple of questions later, we were congratulated and told our visa was approved 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

to say I’m over the moon is an understatement, today was the end of a nearly 15 year journey for us.

Abena I hope you get your IL very soon and when you get to the embassy, it was a ver slick smooth process.

good luck with your new life’s when it comes, we will be flying over at the end of Feb to start our own American dream 😊

I feel you. If we don’t get ILs tomorrow, I’ll give up now. From 14th Dec to 31st Jan is a long wait than the others.

    Hi Abena,

Cant believe you have not had your IL yet, thats such a shame, l really feel for you, we were tracking alongsid each other for a while there...

We done our medical 2 weeks ago now, we have our interview on Monday morning, im full on nervous now....

They don't send them out as a bulk email, each is individual and they seem to come at different times of the day. It's actually pretty transparent I think, London informs NVC of what slots they have for IV interviews, NVC then fill them in Tier order and DQ order. London generally has enough slots that anybody whose PD is current and has been DQ'ed at least 3 weeks before will get an interview, but the cut off date for DQ's can change each month depending on demand.

Immediate relatives are given priority over other family categories, so those waiting for spousal/fiance/parent visas will get the first interview slots, and then any left over will be given to the other categories which means that sometimes those in your category or EB categories won't get lucky, but in London that's pretty rare (other consulates i.e. Montreal or Lagos, have people waiting for years who are in Tier 2 or Tier 3 as they have such huge backlogs of Immediate Relative visas to clear first).

Fantastic info and l really appreciate the detailed response..!

So in your experiance and it seems like you know a lot more on this than l do, you think my London has no backlog to speak of and it should just drop through within the given timeframes..?

    Thanks

This thread is specific to spousal apps and they’re always given priority for interview slots. Tier 2 versus your Tier 3. You might want to start a new thread for your category and see if anybody else is in the same boat?

    Good luck.

    Hey,

I have just created an F3 thread, surely they just send them out as a bulk mail, l cant imagine there us someone individually emailing each case...

We got the notification on 21 Dec saying that within 60 days, so that would put us mid Feb in any case...

If they could be just a little bit more transparent, this would work so much better...

    Thanks :)

  8. Hi all,

This thread is for the intension of keeping everyone thats in the same boat up to date with IL and interview dates...

There are similar threads for CR1 and EB visa types.  I think it would be relevant to all in the F3 catagorie at London Embassy to post and share when IL are going out.

The process from NVC is very flawed and if you are anything like me, the uncertanty is horrendous....

So as a basic start off, we can just post PD(Priority date), DQ(Documentarily Qualified date), IL(Interview letter received date), ID(Interview date).

Hope this helps and we can build up as much info as possible :)

    Thanks

6th Dec DQ....... still no IL letter.

    thanks for that

l think we can confidently say that the IL have not went out yet, there is no way that the 6th and 14th Dec missed the cutoff date.

it’s quite late in the month now tho, but I’m sure I seen a month when they were received on the 17th.

my issue is l am a completely different visa class again from most of you, this is worse than waiting on Xmas when your 5 years old lol

I hope so too else I’m tempted to ask NVC when they will give me interview slot.
    because I am disappointed 😢

By far, you’re the only one with IL. So I am still hopeful…

I was thinking that too Abena, although my visa class is different again from both of yours, so now I’m wondering if mine will be out of schedule with yours also…

I really just want to know the date hahaha

thus process is so flawed, they could improve this so much and take so much uncertainty out of the equation….

im really shocked with you being the 14th Dec that you are not in this run, l get mine as it was Dec 21.

I’ve looked back and the last few months it’s been:

    Nov 6

    Dec 13

    Jan 13(snm2212)

so maybe it will go back to the early part of the month in Feb as we don’t have thanksgiving and Xmas etc to deal with

    Hahaha

Tell us where you live so we can come and give you a knock on the head if it doesn’t come. Cuz my emotions are all over the place already. I did see on Reddit those in Germany got their ILs today for CR1/IR

the visa bulletin just landed today aswel, maybe they will email out the IL now, ie 1 thing at a time…

im hoping they get them out, l actually handed in my notice today, l have a 3 month notice period however, so I need things to start moving along lol
