  1. Update: we were approved for the extension and today we were approved at our interview!
  2. Our lawyer said that embassies usually extend petitions without a problem, but ours in particular has requested a letter with explanations that will be “reviewed with discretion”, even if, as we mentioned, they initially agreed to give us some extra time. this would be our first revalidation. we were not able to find a co-sponsor, but we are now back on our feet financially and we meet all the requirements and have completed the financial support forms throughout. we are currentlu waiting for a response to our request that was sent on friday.. praying.
  3. Hi guys, Has any of you filed for an extension of the case? (I-129F petition) We had to due to financial unexpected problems and even though consulates generally revalidate the petition after its due date, my consulate is making it difficult and we risk losing everything. Psa: we scheduled the interview now and our medical has been completed too. The reason was I lost my job and was not guaranteed a job by the time our case expires August 16th 2024, our interview is September 17th 2024. We tried to book earlier but my fiancée would not be in possession of financial documents and we were worried about being denied because of it. (We also had to wait because I don’t know anyone who would co sponsor) Do you think we will be alright?
  4. Hello everyone, our case has been at nvc fpr 25 days and yesterday it officialy tered IN TRANSIT to the us embassy in Romania. Now, my fiancee (petitioner) was forced to resign from her job and she works in hospitals so getting a new job is kind of long journey, she has been applying and getting interviews. it's just hard and unpredictable. We are afraid that the case will be ready while we are not. We are searching for a joint sponsor too in case we need to use that resource, but again, it's very hard to find someone who qualifies or wants to. When do we need to submit the required documentation? Can we schedule the interview and medical on our own terms and availability, do they naturally force you to do it as fast as possible? Every answer would be greatly appreciated.
  5. It's a website and it was extremely accurate for my Fiancée and I, I hope so too just try to get through the next few months, I was checking every day, but I noticed when I went a few days without checking it seemed to go by faster, Now my next steps include a little more waiting (for NVC, my Fiancée to have her medical exam, and my fiancée to have her interview)
  6. Yes I totally understand this! my fiancée and I started out as best friends in 2017! I was 13 and she was 15 turning 16, we started dating October 27, 2022 and got engaged October 23, 2023 but the distance has been so horrible because it’s been so long. Nothing is impossible though and we make it work! I’m glad you guys are strong too! -Autumn Yes I totally understand this! my fiancée and I started out as best friends in 2017! 7. We are worried too so we got a lawyer to help with our process, but keep in mind from what I've heard you will be interviewed from a US immigration officer and because same sex marriage is legal in the US, they can't deny your visa due to your sexual orientation. hope this helps! good luck!
  8. Don't be discouraged, my fiancée and I got approved yesterday, NOA1- December 11th 2023 NOA2- April 22nd 2024 I recommend getting track my visa now as its very accurate. Best of luck!
  9. Omg I’m so happy for you both I’m praying we get accepted soon our noa1 was December 11th too! Ahhhh
  10. Yeah it just is unfortunate that I have no control over what happens because since I don’t know when this is going to get accepted I most likely will not be able to travel because of not knowing months in advance and requesting time off. but eventually it will get approved so I’m trying to just think of that.
  11. Thank you, this comment helped me a lot, I guess it’s just very hard not being in control and knowing when but I’m sure it is for everyone.
  12. Unfortunately it isn’t this easy for me, I don’t have family members and my only support is my fiancée so it’s hard to just wait. I have to plan when I’m seeing my fiancée many months ahead because of work I was just wondering if the estimated time is accurate. My fiancée cannot enter the United States so I am the only one traveling but due to me working in a hospital it’s very hard to get time off and I have to request months in advance. I am just wondering if the estimated time is usually accurate thanks though!
  13. yes, I know it's an estimate, but is the estimate usually accurate?
