  1. I may of answered my question, seems like she does.
  2. Now that our 129F is at the NVC, I’m trying to look ahead a little. Poking around the Manila Embassy site they have a link for Visa documents. I come to this screenshot about creating an account. Are these steps the beneficiary must do? Thanks.
  3. Seems to be a choke point, interviews at the Manila embassy. 😢
  4. I was under the impression one has the 30 days. If needed, leave the country, fly back, the 30 days starts over.
  5. No need to go crazy, no extra credit. I’d think pictures together, a boarding pass with the name, last flight. After that, a receipt or three from the visit.
  6. Thanks, that what I was looking for. I’ll ask her to work on those, it will take a bit, then 1 year out is good enough.
  7. So my case is well behind the original poster? The NVC got our 129F early June. I was kinda hoping the interview process could be underway in August, unlikely? Another thing I was going to ask, what can be done while the package is at the NVC, or about to leave? Can that ‘CENORMAR’ be requested, or will it time out? Is there some criminal history report that needs to be requested? I understand the DS-160 is towards the interview, I think. Just asking about anything one can accomplish before the embassy interview? Yes I may have some wishful thinking mixed in. Thanks
  8. I realize you just got back, it’s a long haul, costs $$, & so forth. That said, with the ramifications of the whole process, flying over for a visit is one way to keep sanity. I’m looking at going over again the last week of July, don’t normally stay as long as you did.
  9. I wish you the very best, sorry no specific advice. Yes, kinda easy to feel frustration with the process at times. I don’t know much about the I-130/130A, but if it has a similar countdown like the 129F, I’d carefully fill it out & get it filed.
  10. You really need to print out all of the instructions, then look them over closely. Some boxes & questions will be easy, some harder, likely need information from your beneficiary. Any part you’re not sure about, set it aside, collect the information. You likely will end up doing it in stages, closely checking things. By taking your time, the idea is to avoid the ‘RFE’, which will slow things down. Good luck.
  11. How long does the NVC have the package before it goes to the embassy.? Philippines in my case. I’m sure it can vary, 1 month? 2? How is one informed of new NVC receipt number? Once you have the receipt number, can steps be accomplished before it gets to the embassy? Like fill out that DS-160? Maybe that police report, if required, Philippines again. Just trying to keep things proactive.
  12. The USCIS received my 129F the end of Jan 2024, as my timeline indicates. It was radio silence until I got the letter today. With the first notification they texted me and emailed. I’m just glad to hear from them.
  13. I gotta say, I received a letter today!!! They had my email, they have my cell number, but the notice came today, approved May 30th, on to the NVC. 😊😊. I never heard any other peep out of them, that’s ok, as long as things move along. Now I’ll start to study the next steps. I have a feeling things ‘should’ move a little faster now, hopefully.
  14. I’m in the same boat, late Jan 2024 filer. As of now, nothing. I think whoever was working on our pile went on a 3 week vacation. 😢
  15. Yes I know, everything on track with the relationship. I may go again for a visit in July, once mentally prepared for the trip.😜
  16. I’m a little bummed. I got notice the USCIS received my 129F application the end of Jan 2024. My ‘estimate’ for completion at the USCIS moved earlier, now it’s almost a month behind me, 1st part of May, 2024. The USCIS has my contact info, they sent a text & email back in Jan. Yes I know it’s just an estimate. I also know others have moved on to the NVC, same timeframe. I’m a simple case, no skeletons in the closet. Does anyone have any words of encouragement? Did the person working on it leave for a 3 week vacation? Any options to check anything this week? Thanks.
  17. The last time I went over I left a folder with papers, including a copy of the completed 129F. She’s not near the interview yet. Look at threads of those just out of the interview in Manila, they often list what is asked for. A complete copy of the often common divorce decree seems to be a biggie. I don’t remember if a 129F copy was asked about, look it up. There was the cover sheet of the DS-160. There should be a way to email over copies if you think they are needed.
  18. That is a great timeline. I’m near the same, but not through the USCIS yet. My timeline shows early June now, hopefully soon.
  19. She is from Gen Santos City, the plan is to come to Wisconsin. 😊

Seems to me you already provided plenty in that area.
  21. Read the 129F instructions carefully, slowly, several times.
  22. Have you tried contact with the USCIS? That seems like the next course of action for you.
  23. What??? Cutesy nicknames but not married?? How can this be a problem? At the very most, an RFE/I later to clarify. I wouldn’t slow anything down, at the most, a simple clarification. The biggie is, are you officially married or not, with documentation, sounds like not. My beneficiary calls me ‘husband’ all the time, zero worries for me. I didn’t sent copies of those texts though. Anyway, I wouldn’t slow anything if sent, clarification at the most.
