  1. So I emailed a few embassies and only 1 responded and informed they are not accepting transfer requests at this time but went on to say they are not accepting transfer requests unless the applicant is a resident of the country. The other countries did not respond. I will email the NVC and other embassies and report back if I hear anything different. Thanks for sharing your experience,
  2. For clarification my message was autocorrected I did not mean to type "when it Allah goes to" it was supposed to be "when it all goes to" Hope my mistype has not offended anyone and apologies if it did.
  3. I have submitted an I-130 and am getting documents ready for the next stage when it Allah goes to the NVC however I have a question. My spouses Pakistani birth certificate is a B form written in the Urdu language. I'm being told by people that because it's an older form NADRA can't update it to the new English and Urdu form. Pls note I'm being told this by people not by NADRA. Can someone who has had to deal with such an issue in Pakistan tell me how did they handle it and satisfy the I 130 application and the NVC requirements. Did they get NADRA to update it with the new English\Urdu form? Did you get it translated privately in Pakistan and submit that? Did you have someone in the US translate it and then submit it? Are there any other options? Thanks in advance for ur help.
  4. Has anyone requested such a move successfully or unsuccessfully? If you could share your experience that would be much appreciated.
  5. My understanding is that to transfer an IR\CR case to an embassy in another country other than the beneficiary's home country they need to be a resident in this other country. Meaning you need to reside in this other country and not just be a tourist visiting. Someone I chatted with is insisting that you can ask your IR\CR interview\case be transferred to any country as long as you are able to visit the other country and you can do this if the beneficiary's home country has a backlog of cases. For example if the beneficiary is an Indian citizen and the US embassy in India has a huge backlog for IR\CR interviews you can get your case transferred to Kuwait which has a shorter wait time for an interview. I am quite certain that is not the case, you in fact have to be a resident of Kuwait and not a tourist to get the case transferred to Kuwait from India. Can someone confirm if I am correct or if this other person is correct? Thanks in advance.
  6. @Redro Can thank you enough for you and this community as a whole for the response to my query and the relevant info. You are all rockstars cheers. Quick follow up for @appleblossom or anyone for that matter. How do you get an applicaiton for an I-130 updated so when the NVC sends the file to the embassy they send it to the UAE embassy instead of the Pakistan embassy? Should I do this ASAP or after the NVC receives it? I have looked and cant seem to find a way to see what the timeline is for the UAE US embassy to process IR\I-130 applications\interviews? Thank you all

  8. Appreciate the confirmation @appleblossom
  9. This question is for anyone who has submitted an IR app for a Pakistani beneficiary. Does anyone know if the IR (I-130) interview occurs in KArachi as well or is it only in Islamabad? Thanks in advance.
  10. Got it thanks @Boiler I dont remember there being anything on the I -130 asking if she has a residents permit or permanet residencey for another country am I wrong? Even if she does have a PR for another country I would think it makes no difference to her I-130 application except the embassy the NVC would send her applicaiton\interview info.
  11. @boiler Thank you so much for your response. Due to the embassy appointment wait time for Pakistan taking longer than the time for the I-130 to be approved I am with you it is a no brainer to move her app to the US Embassy in the UAE. Ill reach out to the USCIS and see about updating her residence. Ill share my experiences as I have updates to share.
  12. Of course. So to make sure I am correct in my understanding. With her being on a residents permit in the UAE I should be able to move her case to the UAE embassy. Since the UAE embassy doesnt appear to have the backlog issue tht the Pakistan embassy does then the US Embassy in the UAE should be able to give her an earlier interview date. Follow up question, I have already submitted her I-130 how do move her case to the UAE US Embassy? Second follow up question, her having a UAE residents permit should not have any impact on her I-130 application correct? I dont recall them asking about it anywhere on the I-130. Thank you
  13. a residents permit is essentially like a green card for the UAE i believe.
  14. Thanks everyone who responded with info I really do appreciate it. Follow up question if my spouse (who I am sponsoring) moves to another country UAE can we move her case to the embassy in the UAE and would that speed up the process in any way? Thanks
