  1. Thank you for your responses. I am in the US, and have been here for almost 3 years. I submitted I-130 about 3 months before my 21st birthday. I am not sure if I "aged out" by now. How can I check if I have?! Also, if I submit the expedite application and it gets denied, will that negatively affect my visa?
  2. I am an international student on F-1 visa. I have a pending I-130 in the F2A category. I graduate Community College next semester and my I-20 expires in May. My PD is 01/08/24. Can I submit an expedite application so that an expired I-20 does not affect my transfer plans and studies? Will this be a valid reason to expedite the form?
  3. I came into the USA as a student on F-1 visa. My passport expired and I renewed it. The new passport has a different number. I am now filing form I-130 and it asks for Travel document number and expiration date. Is it the number of the passport I entered the USA with or the new one?
  4. My birthday is in April 19 in 2024, I will submit my application next week. I am very concerned about my studies because it is very expensive to go to a 4 year university (i am now in a community college), I can get in-state tuition when I adjust status because my brother will be my guardian. So it does not take just two years to process I-130? This visa bulletin thing you guys mentioned is really troubling me..
  5. I am already in the USA, I can submit adjustment of status when the I-130 is approved, it is not a visa application, but an immigration petition. I am asking because someone got his approved in 3 months.
  6. Its on USCIS processing times website (permanent resident filing for unmarried son under 21) its 32.5 months. It was less before, but it increased.
  7. I am a student on F1 visa, if my father with a green card applies for form I-130 for me, will I get the green card approved faster than the normal processing time of two and a half years?
  8. I am a student on F-1 visa. My father has a green card and will file I-130 for me. Will that serve as a proof of residency for tuition purposes, knowing that my sponsor (sibling) is an Ohio resident? Or should I wait to get the application approved to get in-state tuition. Also Will I be eligible for financial aid?
