  1. Hi all! Im taking a long shot here but hoping somebody can help. So we dont have a lot of legal documents with both are names i.e : Deed to property showing both names Mortgage or loan documents showing both names Lease agreement showing both names Driver’s licenses or IDs showing the same address Bank statements showing both names Utility bills showing both names (electricity, water, gas, trash, cable, internet, cell phone, etc.) Correspondence from friends, family, or businesses showing both names We only have my husbands updated life insurance, medical insurance with my name and an updated Emergency Data document from the DoD with my name on it too. We are filing our AOS through rapid visa and they are asking for: Explanation letter signed by the Petitioner why there is limited proof of bona fide evidence of marriage. It must be notarized. In addition, we will need both of your signed comprehensive letters that include a statement/narration about your relationship (how you met, got engaged, details about your marriage, and future plans)—signed and prepared individually to support the bona fide marriage evidence. Just a signed statement from both and doesn't need to be notarized. Anyone has a sample for this two I can maybe get an idea of what to write? would be a big help! TIA!
  2. Another question... if anyone have an idea regarding this. Would really appreciate the feedback / info. As mentioned above we have been going back and forth with rapidvisa people (they are srsly getting on my nerves) regarding the medical exam. They have sent us an email today and have mentioned that we can get the Immigration medical exam via authorized military physician. But upon calling them to clarify this, they still havent given us a clear answer. I have laso read in the USCIS website that it can be done. Just wondering if anyone has gone through the same and what did you do? Would really like to go to a base medical to save some money.
  3. This is very helpful indeed!!! Unfortunately we have already paid Rapidvisa so we are just gonna proceed with them regardless. Will talk with my husband and for sure pass along this information. Thank you so much!!!
  4. I am now getting confused with the I-693. So appreciate your input / advise on this. As mentioned, we are going with RapidVisa as our filler and the are kind of insisting for me to get another medical exam "just to be sure". But upon reading through the uscis faq's it is not really required to get another medical exam as long as we file the I-485 within 1 yr of my k1 medical exam. In that, I did get all the shots that is CDC required. (at least that's what i can remember). Will try to talk to an authorize Physician and see if they can verify that the vaccines I got is enough and there will be no need to get another medical exam. would appreciate your input / advise with this.
  5. Thank you! Yes we did file both I-765 and I-131. a little costly but got to do what we got to do...
  6. Thank you! 1. Yes we did check that box and yes I will be using my married last name. So i guess now all I can do is to wait for it. This is just a little hard for me not being able to work for that long since I have been a very independent person since then. And relaying for my husband like this makes me fell a little depressing. 2. I don't know where specifically on the DS 3025 to look where it says complete. But as per the physician where I took my medical exam, I did get all the shots that is CDC required. (at least that's what i can remember). I may have to call rapidvisa again as they are insisting I get another medical. we have already given them the completed ds 3025 3-4. Hope there is a way. I think I have read somewhere they were able to expedite their process. or i might just be dreaming lol.
  7. Hi Everyone!!! Once again I am here asking for help and advise through this process. So I came to the US via K1 visa and we are now married for almost 1 month. I have been complacent about the next step after the marriage so I haven't done any research about that beforehand which I am now regretting. Lots of question on the way but here the one's I can think of now. Hope somebody can help. 1. I have just read that there was an option of getting a SSN before marriage right after arrival. But since we are now married and already on the way to process the AOS, is there still a way to get SSN sooner? We are using RapidVisa as our filler but they haven't mentioned that it is an option to get SSN earlier. 2. Form I-693 - Medical Exam --- Again we received an email from RapidVisa informing us that I (beneficiary / AOS applicant) has to undergo another medical exam. But I have read on the USCIS FAQ that i don't need it? or maybe I have misunderstood what is says. (Please see below screenshot). But I have called rapidvisa and they say we may get a RFE if we dont submit another medical exam. I did not receive any copies of my medical report from the K1 as the hospital directly mailed it to the embassy. All I have is a vaccine record which we have already submitted as requested. 3. My husband is an active duty military and can be deployed at any time. Is there a way to expedite the AOS because of this. If yes, what are the process and additional requirement we can submit. 4. As mentioned above, (question 3), if ever my husband gets deployed, if it is possible we will try for me to get a government passport, agin we dont know if that is possible since I am only going thru AOS but if it is and we got a govt passport. Can I leave the country or do I have to stay here for the duration of the process until green card is released. I am so sorry if any of this questions are silly but my dumb ### did not do enough research about this ahead. Hope anyone can help with any of this question. I would appreciate it so much.
  8. Exactly!!! Husband and I did for sure grew a lot stronger with all the waiting. But yes, everything is case to case and also depends on which embassy you are applying from. (I think). We did ours in Bahrain which is a tiny island in the middle east so I think that help as there were not a lot of cases being received there.
  9. I did my medical right after we booked for the interview which was almost a month ahead. We did this as early as possible as I still have to get required vaccines and that took almost 2 weeks. You can always check with the accredited hospital after you have the interview date.
  10. Hi! Sorry for the very late response. It has been a very busy month. I dont know about the CFO process as I did all this process while in Bahrain. (Did my interview there). But when I had called PH Embassy in BH, they didnt say anything about CFO. After I got my passport back we have booked ticket right away. NO issues at the US Port of Entry as well. All they ask way the sealed document from the US embassy and they stamped my passport for entry.
  11. Hi everyone! Haven't been active for a little while. Hope everyone is okay. I just wanted to share to you guys the good news of my petition getting approved and only a few more weeks till I get to be with my love. I wanted to thank everyone as well who patiently answered my questions from my previous posts. Everything was helpful and the interview went very well. We are prepared for all the documents and question the embassy asked and required us to submit. So with this, I want to say to all others that are still waiting to here back from USCIS / NVC... BE PATIENT... I know i wasn't at times but that is all that we can do during this process. Just use this time to prepare and make sure everything you needed is already with you. After NVC sent out our petition, then it happened so fast from there. We'll enjoy our time first after being apart for a year before starting the AOS process again. Best of luck everyone!
  12. Thank you. Will be calling Embassy by tomorrow. hopefully there's some good news.
  13. Hi! we have received the approval last April 10 and it'll be a month now in a few days and we still haven't received the NVC number. Will send a follow up mail by May 10. I am now confused as to how are we gonna received it again? via mail of my fiance? will I (beneficiary) will received any mail as well? or via email? Can I call the NVC / Embassy too to follow up? Thank you all!
  14. Hi! we got NOA1 last Nov 2023 and just last April 10, about 5mos after we got NOA2 . Hopefully a just little bit more wait now 'til we got NVC number. We are getting my interview here in Bahrain. *cross finger*
  15. okay. we just checked and we still havent done the DS 160. still waiting fro the i-129f approval.
  16. No, i dont think we have filled DS- 160 yet. Im not so sure bcos we had Rapid Visa mailed our application. I will check with my fiance, but i dont think we have.
  17. oh thank you so much! big help. im having so much anxiety about moving and changing the address.
  18. Hi all! Hope everyone is doing okay. So, on the application we have submitted, we mentioned that I (alien fiancé) will be doing my interview here in Bahrain. Now I will be moving apartment, still in Bahrain. I have a couple of questions regarding that. 1. Is there any kind of forms we should submit for changing my address? 2. Will this affect our waiting times? If we have to resubmit some forms. 3. Am I ever receiving anything from the mail, or everything will be through my fiancé and he is just the one who will be updating me. Thank you in advance for anyone who could help. I have called US embassy here in Bahrain, but unfortunately they dont have the answers.
  19. Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Hope all is well... So, I know it has only been almost 2 months since we got our NOA1 and now I am getting paranoid bcos we arent doing anything... so please clarify to me once again that this now a waiting game and we just have to keep our chill and hope for the best that we get our NOA1 soon, right? bcos if we're wrong and we should have been doing something else and we arent that i am gonna lose my mind 😅 Thank you!
  20. Hi! We got our NOA1 last 20-Nov. So I was just wondering where and how did you know that the processing time now hopefully takes about 6-9months? I am still crossing my fingers about this. bcos I have read on the uscis site, it is still about 16months.
