  1. Well done. Thanks for sharing the details about your journey. All the best.
  2. I received an email from NVC today indicating they will now move my petition to the U.S. Embassy. It was stated that it could take several weeks before the embassy contacts me. Considering December is a month-long celebration in Colombia, I will likely get an appointment in January.
  3. I received the NOA2 on November 14th. I sent a public inquiry on December 10th. I received a response yesterday and received my NVC case number. However, part of their message mentioned, "...Due to your petition type, you will not receive a request for fee payment or document submission." I thought I would need to submit the DS160 before my file would be sent to the US Embassy. I must be mistaken. Perhaps when I receive the letter from NVC indicating my file has been sent to the US Embassy, there will be instructions to complete the DS160.
  4. Are you referring to sending a public inquiry? I went ahead and completed this. The letter I received indicated to send an email to NVC if I had not heard anything after 30 days. I will send an email on the 14th. I received the NOA2 on the 14th of November, but considering we just went through the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm sure things will not be running as normal. Thank you for the information.
  5. I would have received a NOA1 in late October if I had written the place and date of my pictures. I received an RFE. I sent more pictures with the place and date. I received the NOA2 about two weeks after they received my pictures. Now, I am waiting the 30 days to get the notice from NVC. I don't think about it much. It will happen when it does. Since it has been three weeks, I will ask where it is. I have read that people who submitted their applications in January have already been approved and have interview dates. If I had done it right, I would most likely have had the interview date by now. I am sure things have slowed down since Thanksgiving and may pick back up in January. December is a month long celebration in Colombia. I doubt I will receive anything until January. Hope you hear something soon.
  6. @Chancy Does the birth certificate need to be translated into English? Thank you.
  7. How were you notified that you were DQ'd? Do you know the reason why she was DQ'd? If she was DQ'd, what is the reason for the medical exam? I am about to change the visa type and would like to know how everything has gone for you (timeline?). My wife is Colombian. Thank you.
  8. Hello, A birth certificate is on the list of items required to take to the K-1 visa interview. What is the time frame that a certified copy of the birth certificate needs to be within? We do not have a set appointment, but my fiancé has a certified copy of her birth certificate (registro de civil) since July of this year. Will this work for the birth certificate requirement? Thank you.
  9. Hello, I received the NOA2 Approval letter. However, there is no mention of my fiancé's child. The child's information was applied in the application. Will there be a time when the child is mentioned for the K-2 Visa? Thank you.
  10. Yes, the holidays will slow things down a bit. December is a month long celebration in Colombia. Hopefully, you hear something soon. You're much further along than I am so you should hear something before I do. Send an update when something happens, if you can. Thank you.
  11. @Thraff have you had your K1 Visa interview in Bogota? If so, when and how did it go? Was your experience similar to PhatCat's? Thank you for the update.
  12. Hello, Any updates since the last time you posted? I would like to know how things are going with the US Embassy in Bogota for interview appointments for K-1 visa. Thank you.
  13. Hello, Any updates since you made your post? I am curious to know how things are going with the US Embassy for appointments for K-1. I just received approval, so it will take 2-8 weeks before my case gets to Bogota. Thank you.
