  1. That was yesterday. Today it's showing 5 months for EAD and 31 months for Green Card
  2. VisaJourney has now updated my timeline estimate to June 6-20; it was April 21 at one point two weeks ago
  3. Right now it's showing 6 months for EAD and 19 months for Green Card, but if I've learned anything from this site, it is that these estimates are always wild.
  4. My VisaJourney estimated EAD date changed quite drastically this week. I didn't notice a change on the USCIS estimates, though.
  5. Hope everyone is doing well. Here's a quick update from our end. My wife had her biometric appointment today. In and out maybe 10 minutes. All she needed was her passport, the appointment letter, and her completed one-page bio sheet (Applicant's Information Sheet) they sent. As soon as she had finished having her photo taken, I received text messages indicating her cases had been updated with USCIS. About an hour and a half later, I received two more text messages, but I see no change from the first two. It now says: Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS As of April 14, 2025, we are actively reviewing your Form I-485, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXX. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address. The I-765 notice says the exact same thing except with different form and case numbers. Now we just continue waiting.
  6. From the timeline and conversation, what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong: They entered the US on July 10, 2024 They got married July 15, 2024 They got I-693 completed by civil surgeon in the US They filed AOS in August 2024, but sent the wrong fee for I-485 (maybe combined multiple form payments with one check?) The petition was rejected and all original documents were returned to petitioner They refiled in October 2024 with correct fees Had biometric appointment in October 2024 Recently received an interview appointment notice with standard list of documents to bring So yeah, just bring everything that was already submitted and anything else on that list that you may have Good luck!
  7. Great! Our I-485 and I-765 were mailed to Dallas on the 17th and we received text NOA yesterday indicating it was received on March 20th.
  8. Yes, my timeline is accurate. I emailed back and forth with the embassy, but it ended up being almost 6 months from the time they received the petition until my fiancée was contacted about scheduling the interview. Things moved pretty quickly from there, though. Good luck!
  9. Heya folks, My wife's I-94 authorization expires 1/30/25 and I've been franticly trying to track down paperwork. It seems she did not receive a Form DS-3025 at her medical exam. She only received local forms documenting her vaccines and the sealed medical packet that we collected by CBP upon arrival. I have seen other threads about this on here, but I'm not able to find a consensus on which direction to go with it. Any ideas?
  10. Hey everybody. I just got notified that I earned my One Year badge today. It has been a long road and I really appreciate all of the help you have all provided so far in this process. We finally have a visa and tickets! How's everyone else doing?
  11. I'm not certain as we went through Zambia, but you may get an answer by contacting the embassy directly, especially since it sounds like this is a new system and others may not have experience with it yet. Our embassy was quite responsive, even as we waited more than 4 months before we got an official "case received, come bring documents" email. Good luck!
  12. This is correct! In case OP doesn't know where to find the guides, you can find the K1 visa process by going to the top of this site, clicking on Guides, and selecting US Visas, then clicking on K1 Fiancé Visa. The page has a lot of information and it can be overwhelming to sort through. Under the heading Self Help Guides, the K1 Visa Flowchart has been very helpful for me as we navigate through this process. Good luck!
  13. No. I prepared a table of contents and cover pages and everything, and my fiancée took everything and they only took the required documents. It helps with organization on the beneficiary's end, but is definitely not necessary!
  14. Hey everyone! How are we doing? My fiancée had her medical exam this week and it looks like we're about 4 weeks away from her interview now. I'm trying to be sure all the documents I sent her have been printed and fill in any gaps that we may have (I brought financial documents when I saw her in March, but that has been a few months now!). I have seen some of you got approved. Anyone here got married yet? 🙂
