  1. It hit -52 last night so I don’t know about that 😂 it drops really fast, hopefully warm up soon
  2. Fairbanks:) yes! Flew right from Almaty as soon as she got her passport back. No issues on the border , everyone was friendly and helpful, Seattle. Don’t forget to pay fee before she enters. My mom had hers in Almaty but they definitely accept Moscow medical exam. We have friends in Almaty so it wasn’t a big deal
  3. No they didn’t ask my mom a single transaction during interview. All they wanted was my BC original. But I uploaded translations with her other paperwork on nvc. ( criminal records, birth cert, marriage/ divorce certificates). We didn’t notarize anything for interview.
  4. Have you contacted Kazakhstan? They accepted my mother’s case this summer. Although it’s not the same type of visa , but might work.
  5. Sorry to hear that. Hope it will be sooner than later. Good luck.
  6. How is going? Is it still under administrative processing? It was the same with my moms case but it changed day later.
  7. About week or two it was ready and then if there date available you can schedule it even next week. Check visa status at ceac.gov, if you see status "ready" go to ustravels and choose the date. No. they all speak Russian in KZ
  8. You can also ship to DHL\ Fedex office in Almaty and your parents will pick it up there. I met couple there, they were waiting delivery for about 10 days. Good luck with that.
  9. Yes, pick up Timiryazev 28V. About that, Interview was on Thursday , I got email next day Fri around 3 pm and went straight there to pick it up. Attention about their working hours - someone there told me it's 3pm-5pm. Her case was under administrative processing before that, less than a day.
  10. Yes of course. Her interview was yesterday, Nov 2. It went very smooth as others said before , she was inside about 2 hours but interview itself took about 2 minutes. They asked 2 questions: Where is your daughter living ? What does she do?. That’s it. They asked original birth certificate only. We didn’t notarize translations and they didn’t ask for them at all. She met 2 other moms who had the same exact experience there. She also said many people were asked to bring originals of birth certificates of their petitioners, so they won’t approve until they see it. She said officer was very friendly. They said to pick up passport in 2 days but it’s a weekend so I guess it will be Monday unfortunately.. Someone was asking how to pass originals to parents if they can’t meet, so I meet people here in KZ who weren’t approve because of missing originals and their daughter mailed it express mail , fedex or DHL. They are still waiting but it could be option. If anyone has any questions, I will be happy to answer. thank you @Ineska for your help:)
  11. Thank you! I think it took about 3-5 days for them to get back, depends if it’s a weekend or not. I’m sure they will take it
  12. Oh okay.. I never did it with my paperwork but it was 7 years ago in Moscow. Well we will see how it goes , I am not sure now if I should do it. Thank you for your answer !
  13. Yes what I mean translations with notary stamp. It did work for NVC & USCIS but in instructions from embassy it says "original + copy and notarized translation." I guess we'll just do it in Almaty.
  14. Got it! Thank you so much!
  15. Wow sounds like easy peasy lol. Since I am bringing her all originals I don’t think there would be any problems, although I didn’t notarize, popped out of my head 😅 where did you guys notarize it all? US or Russia? We still have time to do it I think. Thank you so much for all your answers! I’m sure will post how it will went
