OK guys so today is literally three weeks after my fiancé VISA was “ISSUED” on CEAC we still don’t know anything and the call center number is useless. I wanted to see if this is normal or if the turnaround times are higher for the Casablanca consulate. In Morocco ? I just want to see if this is normal or not. Any insight would be appreciated.

Good morning and happy Tuesday everyone My fiancé had a successful K-1 interview in Casablanca Morocco and currently CEAC shows ISSUED since 9/25. It also states that if it has been more than 10 business days and he has not received his passport back to reach out to them so today marks the 10 business day. I wanted to see if anyone knows typically how long it takes to retrieve your passport back? Thank you in advance.

Hello everyone and happy Friday I had a quick question. I already asked my legal assistant, and she said it was fine and that he could update his address during the interview but I wanted to ask on here in real time based off of people who are or who have gone through the process so my fiancé is going to have his interview in September and recently moved to a new apartment with his family in May of this year and his passport has his old address and so does the DS 160 form. I was just curious to know if this would be any issue I personally don’t think it will because he’s ultimately coming here to live here in the states with me. Thank you in advance.

Hello ! Be prepared to wait. We waited 10 months for an interview 3 months out. Doing everything from emailing the consulate and congressman and senator. Unfortunately this is a waiting process and the consulate does not work cases in order because if that were the case we would have had our petition handled in a timely manner and not have to wait 10 months even though we filed way before a lot of the people that had interview letters sent out who filed way after we did. Update : 10 months wait - Got our interview letter today !!! Appointment is until September.

Yeah its terrible. I believe the interview letter are supposed to be through email if I’m not mistaken and yes, the process is a little bit kooky. But it appears that other people are waiting for an extended amount of time as well. It’s just disheartening because there playing with peoples lives and it’s so unfair and it’s also unfair that they don’t work the cases in order. It’s also unfair that they don’t even reply to our emails, we will see what happens. We continue to remain hopeful.

we have been waiting since July 2023 my friend. We paid the ds 160 in October lol. Yeah it’s ridiculous.

Yes , I had spoken with my lawyer about it. It’s so expensive and because we are literally near 1 year and anything can pop up now I would be so disappointed if I paid over $4000 only to hear something back from consulate without WOM because to file it takes 90 days for a response from what I read. Thanks for that Boiler. I know my options are limited at this point. Hopefully I can hear something soon.

Hi everyone ! I posted something in a different forum but probably should have tried here. I was wondering if anyone else is facing a long wait time to get an interview letter for Casablanca ? We filed in Feb 2022. We are working with a lawyer and they submitted everything correctly. DS 160 fees have been paid since October. Congress man and senator are no help. Emails to the consulate are going unanswered and we are at 10 months since our case has been in their hands . They received our file in July 2023. I want to see if anyone else has gone through this or is going through this and any suggestions other than just waiting ...I want to be sure this is normal because they used to not take this long but then again they do not work cases in order but it seems they are approving marriage ones faster than fiance ones and we are being left in the back burner. I just wanted to write on here to see if there are any other people that are waiting an extended amount of time for the interview letter to finally arrive. Thanks in advance !

We filed in February 2022. We have been Ready since July 2023. 10 months for us. I recently posted in this too. It’s a waiting game. Hang on tight, you’re in for a long ride. They are processing marriage ones faster from what I have seen and left us in the back burner.

Yes exactly, we get the same generic answer too. These people are playing with our lives. What’s even sadder is that we just have to sit and wait because there is nothing we can do.

It’s been 10 months and the Casablanca Morocco consulate has not given us our interview date. I have reached out to the Congressman into the senator and no one is helping me out. I have written countless emails to the K1 email for Casablanca with no response at this point we are at the Mercy and they are playing with us. I never knew that I would have to wait close to a year or who even knows maybe more than a year only to get an interview. This process has been insane to say the least and I don’t even want to go into what it has done emotionally to the both of us. I want to know what my options are or if there are any options at this point because I don’t know what else to do. We have a lawyer involved in this and all of our paperwork is completed. The DS 160 has been completed since October so we’re just waiting for them to reach out to us. Thanks

Hi Ussuf. We have been on Ready status since July 2023 and still haven’t received our interview date. Contacted congressman and the consulate is not helping. I am seeing cases taking 7-8 months until an interview date. Hope this helps.

Update: I forgot to mention that I reached out to the senator and he didn’t do anything to help me. Case has been escalated with the call center since August 2023. I think it all depends on who touches your case at the embassy because some just don't want to help. We have exhausted everything possible. Congressman and my lawyer are getting the same thing from the embassy as well.

Hi ! We filed in Feb 2022 and our case has been in Casablanca since JULY 2023. I have voiced out the same thing you have and my lawyer and congressman are getting nowhere with the Visa Unit in Casablanca they are pretty much telling us to wait in line . And it’s disheartening because there are people who filed months after us and got interviews which is such an injustice. This whole process is messed up. These people are playing with our lives and it’s an endless waiting game. We already have gone over the normal processing time that says on the casablanca site of 3-6 months. We are heading toward month 7 of waiting since our case landed in their hands. Hang in there. There are so many others like us waiting.

Hi There , I am a February 2022 filer. Our case has been in Casablanca since July 20 2023. Still nothing. I have tried everything and emailing the email for the K1 that was mentioned multiple times with no response. The website on Casablanca embassy states that the processing for an interview can take anywhere from 3-6 months. This January literally tomorrow will be 6 months of waiting. Unfortunately this process is a horrible waiting game. These people are playing with our lives but unfortunately its the process. I feel so helpless. Just hoping we will hear something soon since we are already at month 6.
