  1. NATO-2 is the Visa. I'm unsure if you can adjust from it. If I leave the country for work, as it is a non-immigrant visa, I have to arrive with no intent to stay and convert it to an immigrant visa. My issue is that being in the military I don't have the choice to say no If I'm told to leave the country. After then having left country I would be entering after I have filed an I-130 for example of even my concurrent I-485.
  2. I don't think I can as I am here on non-immigrant visa. If I filed to Adjust status, due to my job, I may have to leave the country which would annul my application.
  3. Thanks, Unfortunately whilst I am here for about 2.5 years now, I don't think I can apply for I-130 until I step back in the UK. I see that apply for I-130 to getting visa is 400 days maybe on average.
  4. Hello, If I applied in the UK for I-130 with my spouse and kids in the US, how long would it be until I get an interview and then the Visa from/via the Embassy in London? Would you be able to write out a timeline for each step? I am just trying to work out rough ball park figures so we can plan. Thanks
  5. Hello, I am in a similar situation. I am currently in the US on a NATO-2 Visa. My wife and children are US Citizens and have lived in the UK for the past 10 years (wife moved over for a job and kids were born there). I am working in the US and my visa expires in 3 years. I am wondering if can file all these forms all at once in order to get a LPR Green Card and remain in the US post my job after the three years without having to go back to the UK. Forms I plan on submitting: - I-130 - I-130a - I-485 - I-765 - I-508 - I-566 - I-131 - I-864 - I-864p - I-94 Can anyone see an issue with this? Is there any particular order I should do this in? If I plan to leave in Aug 26, what lead in time should I give in order to get it all achieved but that date 12-18 months? Or should I do it sooner rather than later?
