  1. I personally looked at my progress tab, and it kept moving but once the progress dates were within a couple months away I knew it was coming. I applied in October 2023, and I just got approved on Friday, January 31st. I personally think I had it really good. I live in Canada, about a 4.5 hour drive from my wife in America. I work a schedule where I work 2 weeks with housing and food and transportation paid for and get a week off which I spend with my wife. I couldn't imagine being over the ocean away. I'm so sorry but, just keep facetiming and making those moments special that you have together. It'll come with time!! A little life lesson I've learned - the more you focus on the suck, the more magnified it is. Just keep busy, focus on hobbies and work and your bond to your spouse. This hurdle is the ultimate testament to your relationship. Don't lose hope!
  2. Hey guys! I was scrolling through this thread and noticed someone mention they didn't realize they could get a criminal record check while waiting for their NOA. My wife (petitioner) sent off the i-130 yesterday and I'm wondering what I can do right now to always be a step ahead of the game. Can I get biometrics on my own? Can I print off the papers we'll get In the future and fill them out now? What are some things you guys have collectively gathered that you wish you knew before that would speed things up?
