  1. I’m not sure but on the site it says my case was approved and gives me the case number. Which I guess is the same as the receipt number. What do I do now ? Give it to my fiancé for her Fiance interview ?
  2. Finally got NOA (1)??? I finally got an NOA after 7 months or so. They gave me a receipt number and it said " You will receive notification by mail when NVC has sent your petition to the US Embassy". Couple of things I wanted to mention I am visiting her country and visiting her in person, but its through the Peace Corps. Can I finish the process by giving her the interview forms (DS-160, I-134, etc.) to her in person for her interview? Also, how do I check for the NVC case status? Thanks.
  3. I sent the request for an update to the lockbox a month ago. Still no reply. What are my options now?
  4. Hello, I have a few questions about how to contact someone regarding this. When I call the help desk number, it asks for a receipt number, which I was never given, to proceed. So that's unavailable. As for the live chat, that also asks for a receipt number, which again, I don't have and was never given. I did send an email to the lockbox email address about a week ago, but how long should I give it for a reply? Is there any other way to contact them? Seems like I haven't been able to reach them at all given all of the methods provided here. I am considering disputing the $535 charge with my bank as well. What do you all make of this situation? Thanks.
  5. Hello, I have no idea where my reciept ID would be. Can anyone help? I tried contacting the USCIS customer support but the automated system keeps asking me for the reciept ID, which I don't have. I only have the tracking number, shipping ID, and all the other information but not the receipt ID.
  6. Thanks for the reply . I sent an email to the address lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov requesting the info. I hope they will respond quickly because it has been over 6 months now. I wasn’t sure whether to email or call that number. As of now, I only have only emailed. Also, I didn’t quite understand what they meant by receipt number , but I do have the tracking number and shipment ID. It was shipped on October 9. I think it’s reasonable to expect some notice of action by now.
  7. Typo in the OP. It’s the I-129F. I’m referring to the NOA 1 , or any notification of my i129F petition being received.
  8. Hello I submitted my I-128F in late October and I am still waiting for any reply via mail or email. Who do I contact for updates? Thanks
  9. Well I guess that’s the only assurance I will get at this time. I keep wondering that if I had filed for the electronic notifications then I would have had an update by now. But nothing physical or electronic has been given yet, after applying in mid October. Little bit nerve wracking…
  10. Hi , I sent my 129-F and nothing has been given back, not a NOA or anything in more than two months. What should I do to make sure they are working on it? Also, do they really expect us to stay fiance for God knows how long? We want to get married, and by the time the 129-F is ready, we may have already decided to get married. How would this affect the 129-F status if we did that? Obviously I am not a fan of this process, as many others as well, so some clarity would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Thanks. Is there a time limit for the RFE? I've heard mentions online of time limits, deadlines, on the visa interview from the time the NOA 2 comes, and others saying that as soon as the I-129F visa is approved, basically every further step in the I-129F visa process is time sensitive. Is this the case? Thanks
  12. Also, if the I-129F gets denied, have they just effectively taken $535 for free? Or can I take any additional action, assuming I have provided everything that they have asked for. Along those lines, if I missed a minor detail such as my physical address ( I am sure I didn't, but just for example), could I just provide that info without having to pay another $535, or does it not work that way? Thanks.
  13. Hello, I recently submitted my I-129F form last week for my fiancee and myself. I'm pretty sure that I provided my email address somewhere in there, but I didn't attach the G-1145, which was a form I was completely unaware of that enables e-notifications. Is there a way I can receive e-notifications or emails/texts after submitting the form after submitting the I-129F? And also, when and how should I expect to be notified for the status of the I-129F, by physical mail, email, or ...??? Thanks!
  14. Thanks to all! Submitted I-129F last week, ready for the waiting game now! Will update shortly
  15. Hello I have a fiance from Uganda as well! How long did it take you to do everything, from I-129 to being together? This is my I-129F, can you check it if it looks right? 1. Cover Letter? (Not sure if this is needed or what this should contain) 2. G1450 and I-129F 3. Letter of Intent to Marry (Gonna use this one (removed)) 4. EVIDENCE 10 photos of us together, , Passport Stamp Photo, Yellow Fever Vaccination Photo, Flight Receipts 5. Passport Photo of Me and Her 6. EVIDENCE: My Birth Certificate Photo Copy OK , Everything else should be good now, the only thing that needs fixing is number 5. NUMBER 5: I'm still learning towards that as well since I am not at all familiar with how to use Google to format the picture or selfie in a way that's compatible to such a specific requirement of the photos, as mentioned below from the Official I-129F instructions: "You must submit one color passport-style photograph of yourself and one color passport-style photograph of the beneficiary taken within 30 days of filing this petition. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and be unmounted and unretouched. Form I-129F Instructions 03/21/22 Page 11 of 14 The color passport-style photos must be 2 by 2 inches. The photos must be in color with full face, frontal view on a white to off-white background. Head height should measure 1 to 1 3/8 inches from top of hair to bottom of chin, and eye height is between 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 inches from bottom of photo. Your head must be bare unless you are wearing headwear as required by a religious denomination of which you are a member. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the photo" Clarification on this would be GREATLY appreciated, and if necessary, rewarded.
  16. Thanks! I'll update it : 1. NUMBER 5: I do agree with you Mike E, however, I recently had my passport RENEWED after submitting a photo of myself taken at Walgreens. Therefore I think I should still be able to take the photo at Walgreens and print it out at Walmart. I'm still learning towards that as well since I am not at all familiar with how to use Google to format the picture or selfie in a way that's compatible to such a specific requirement of the photos, as mentioned below from the Official I-129F instructions: "You must submit one color passport-style photograph of yourself and one color passport-style photograph of the beneficiary taken within 30 days of filing this petition. 17. Hi guys! I am engaged to a woman from Uganda and we are starting our 129F form process. Can someone please confirm if this is correct for EVERYTHING that is needed to submit: 1. Cover Letter? (Not sure if this is needed or what this should contain) 2. G1450 and I-129F 3. Letter of Intent to Marry (Gonna use this one (removed)) 4. Pictures of Evidence of Us Together (Sending 10 photos of my trip to Uganda with her) 5. Passport Photo of Me and Her (This one might be tricky because the requirements are very very specific. I do NOT want to get this rejected because I don't want to waste 500$ , which amounts to a weeks worth of my salary over small issues This is my current plan for the passport photos: TAKE PHOTOS AT WALGREENS WITH REQUIREMENTS THEN GO TO WALMART TO PRINT on glossy paper) 6. My Birth Certificate Photo Copy Please also confirm if ALL THIS STUFF should be sent to this address : U.S. Postal Service (USPS): USCIS Attn: I-129F P.O. Box 660151 Dallas, TX 75266-0151 FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries: USCIS Attn: I-129F (Box 660151) 2501 South State Highway 121 Business Suite 400 Lewisville, TX 75067-8003 If everything here looks great, please let me know!!! IF not , please tell me what I need to add or remove! THANK YOU SO MUCH
