So in this case, should I file 539 now saying we are waiting for 485 receipt?

Personal check, per uscis webpage that is ok right? Yes Yes of course. 130 was filed.

We sent out my parents' i485 two weeks ago and still haven't heard back (checks haven't been cashed). They are on b2 visa and their i94 is about to expire in a week. What should I do now? Should I file i539 to extend their stay? If so, can I use the above as the reason for extension? Thanks!
