  1. thank you for reply. I just want to make sure there is no downside and risk of sending k3 while i130 is pending for my spouse who lives abroad. do you have any thoughts on this?
  2. Hello, can someone please tell me if I'm missing anything here? I filed I130 online for my foreign spose who will go though consular process. I130 is currently pending. To submit K3 successfully: 1 - I filled I129F form and printed 2 - Added ALL the evidence I already submitted with I130 as print out 3 - Mailed it out the package with I130 receipt notice to USCIS lockbox. Is this all I needed? Thank you in advance if anyone can reply.
  3. I just saw that this post has same excat text on the notice and it looks like this user also applied for spouse So maybe this text is normal?
  4. Thank you, but do you think that text is due to my mistake (I'm US citizen, filed for spouse, attached I130A and marriage certificate - I re-checked my application and confirmed) Do other people not have this on their receipt notice? Does this 100% mean that there is a problem with my case meaning my beneficiary spouse will be treated as non-citizen spouse? Here is the entire text on my notice. I'm worried now
  5. Thank you, you mean "receipt notes" "rfe requests" all go to ONLY petitioner who is US citizen correct?
  6. Hello, I'm wondering if beneficiary who lives abroad receives any email, or mail about the I-130 application? I received our receipt notice but I'm curious if a notice is also sent to beneficiary like RFE etc? We submitted the form online in "MY" account. So everything seems to be tied to me only. Thank you community and sorry if I asked too many questions
  7. Hello community, I am naturalized US citizen who submitted I-130 for foreign spouse who lives outside of the US. I read this on our receipt notice: "The beneficiary must wait until a visa is available before they can take next step. To best allocate resources, USCIS may wait to process I-130 forms until closer to time when a visa will become available, which may be years after the petition was filed. Nevertheless, USCIS process I-130 forms in time not to delay relatives' ability to take next step toward permanent residence once a visa number does become available. " What does this mean? Is there a chance that my spouse will never immigrate until a visa is available which may take years? I hear people say their I-130 is approved in 12-15 months but are they the ONLY ones that a visa was available? Which means, MOST people wait for "years" for I-130 to be processed? If anyone can clarify, I would appreciate. Thanks.
  8. Greetings VJ people, I already submitted I-130 online for my foreign spouse. I just found a receipts for our vacations with my spouse (hotel reservations, activity tickets, and flights etc). I think they can be good to use as relationship evidence. Is there any harm of risk/downside of uploading this under "unsolicited document" section in our I130 case? Would or have you do this? Thanks.
  9. Hi Mike, can you please explain what would happen if I don't do anything about this? Do you have/heard similar experiences? You sounded like you're too sure this was a vital mistake and It'll be a problem?
  10. Thank you pushbrk, i'm was just anxious about this and I also thought they would understand it. Apologize for taking your time but for the last time can you confirm that you understood what i did and what was i asking? I married SUSAN ALICE WHITE. she became "SUSAN ALICE BROWN". We got divorced 7 years ago. I re-married and filled I130 for my current wife. I entered my previous spouse as SUSAN ALICE WHITE but divorce certificate has her like "SUSAN ALICE BROWN". I noticed I did the same for N400 which they approved. You're saying this is not a problem, I should not try to bother them to fix it. Correct? Again if you can just confirm, it'll relieve my anxiety. Thanks.
  11. Thank you Scandi for reply. We didn't need to enter wedding/marriage date at all for the previous marriage! Are you sure you were asked that? In our form, I only see, FULL NAME and DATE OF DIVROCE.
  12. Hi Vicky's Mom, thank you for reply. You're right, I put down my ex-wife's legal full name today. I just worry that my divorce decree has her last name same as mine. But I checked my N400 application(i saved it for years for no reason), and saw that her name was also listed with her old last name. Do you think I will get delay or denial for this? Was this a mistake that I should send a letter to avoid RFE and delays? Sorry to ask again.. Maybe somebody else will provide feedback too. Thanks again.
  13. I checked my N400 (Naturalization application) which i filed after divorce. (7 years ago) Her full name on that form was also with her maiden name(before our marriage) So I want to believe I didn't make a mistake and it is not big deal but anyone else can confirm this? Thank you
  14. Hello everyone, I'm so worried about something and I am not sure if it was a mistake. I'm US citizen(Korean origin) and I filed I-130 online for my wife. When I listed my ex-wife as my previous marriage, I listed her with her "maiden" name which was the last name before she married me. My name is JOE BROWN. Her full name was SUSAN ALICE WHITE. After we got married, she became "SUSAN ALICE BROWN" But in our I130 I listed her as "SUSAN ALICE WHITE" (With her maiden, previous last name before our marriage) Our divorce decree has her last name as my last name. ("SUSAN ALICE BROWN") Was this a mistake? Should I try to fix it? I only received a receipt notice. It has been 3 weeks we submitted the application. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
