  1. Thank you Boiler for your prompt response and for the information. Where in the process I have to provide the date when she left the United States? In I-130, I only see arrival date (Part 4, 46c). Also, do you know if she have to provide documentation to prove she has been living in Mexico since 2012?
  2. Hi, I'm a US Citizen (35 years old and married) and I would like to bring my mom to the United States. My mom is currently living in Mexico; however, she has lived 9 years in the United States illegally. She entered to the United States without inspection in 2003 but then, she left to Mexico in 2012. She never went through any immigration proceeding/deportation when entering illegally nor when she left. She just decided to go back to Mexico in 2012. I would like to know what would be the process/steps to bring her to the United States after the I-130 has been approved. After some research online, I'm a little familiar but I still need more guidance. I'm aware of the 10-year bar due to the unlawful presence for more than 1 year but the 10 years have passed since she left the United States . Is there some type of application/waiver needed? Does she have to proved she has lived in Mexico since she left in 2012? if so, how and in which part of the process? Also, before entering the United States illegally in 2003, she applied for tourist visa but it was denied. Does she have to disclose this somewhere in the process? I'm also aware that I need to file I-864, Affidavit of Support, which should not be a problem as I'm sure my income will suffice. Again, I would really appreciate if someone can provide me the steps for this process after I-130 has been approved. Please let me know if more clarification/information is needed. Thank you in advanced for the help.
