so sites online talking about getting married and adjusting your status say they use a 90 day rule, that if you apply for the adjust thing bfore 90 days your sus. but like, what. you can only stay for 90 days, are they saying you should overstay your visa and then apply for the adjustment of status or something. does anyone know?

When I filled out the 160 form to apply for a tourism visa I had written I don't know anyone from the states, and now I'm in a happy relationship with someone from there. He has already visited me here. My tourism visa was approved and in the interview they just asked where me and my dad were going, which was the plan at the time. When I return the visit to my bf, can I just say I'm visiting him? I've read it's even legal to get in with the intention to marry someone and then leave, so just saying I'll visit my boyfriend shouldn't be an issue?
