  1. I've tried this one and got 0 - I would love a standard robotic response! Any ideas?
  2. Hi all, hope this makes sense. I've been DQ'd and have an interview scheduled at the embassy in London for the end of March. I've got a 10-day round trip booked to the US in February. For my DS-260 I only needed to submit travel history to the USA. This will have changed by the time of my interview. Do I have to update the travel history before the interview? And if so, how do I do that? Does anyone on here have any experience of doing so? Looking online has been unfruitful so far - I've seen rumours that the CEAC "unlocks" days before your interview and you simply upload it then; I've seen other rumours that the DS-260 is timestamped so it doesn't matter if there any updates after. Neither seem right? I reached out to Londoninfounit@state.gov which is the contact email on the embassy website, but I understand that they can be very slow or may not reply at all.
  3. Hi all, I've been looking for some reassurance going through this forum, but getting mixed messages. I'm the beneficiary of a CR1/IR1 application through consular processing. We're at the final stages... I'm documentarily qualified (DQ'd) and I've got my interview date at the London embassy on 31 March 2025. However, back in December - thinking our I-130 would be taking a few more months, etc - I booked a 10-day short trip to the USA in February so I can celebrate my birthday with my husband. The trip would require me to enter the US on my ESTA. I had entered the USA previously while the I-130 was pending in 2023, but didn't travel at all in 2024. Now I'm entering the US on a new passport (under my married name). I am terrified that CBP will refuse me entry, citing that I have intent to immigrate. But I truly don't! I have a long history of entering and exiting the USA within a few weeks (on my old passport), I still have my job and my car and my dog in the UK. I am living with family so no outgoings there. But obviously I do have an immigrant visa interview to attend which I am sure will go smoothly! Can anyone offer me any reassurance that this trip will go smoothly, or is it really a waste of a 12-hour flight and 11 days of annual leave? Anyone have any advice for what to say at the border? Thank you all kindly.
  4. Thanks! Yes I finally managed to get it to work. For prosterity - in the end Microsoft Edge in "Internet Explorer mode" worked best for me with some cookie/cache clearing along the way. The best thing for me to get the CEAC to accept my documents was to open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat, then "print to PDF", then upload the new PDF. Weird but it worked! All set.
  5. Hi folks, It's been around 3 days of this now so just wondering if anyone has any advice... I'm trying to complete the DS-260 form on the CEAC portal but I'm having the usual upsets: being kicked out of the portal, "Connection was reset" errors which stop me from accessing the CEAC website completely for hours at a time, "Request rejected" errors, and now the below ("Request cannot be processed at this time" error, but actually on the CEAC website). I've spent around 30 minutes total on the website itself, but hours trying to get into it! Initially I was accessing the site from Google Chrome on Windows 11. I've tried clearing my cache, cookies, trying new browsers, trying Microsoft Edge in Internet Explorer mode, and so on... but it's causing me a lot of strife. It's hard to remain level-headed when you've waited 15.5 months to get to this point! If any IT people/CEAC-whisperers can step forward and let me know what worked for them, that'd be great. Even just confirmation that it will sort itself out in time would be amazing.
  6. I'm finding the same issue - so glad I found this forum to reassure me it's normal! I switched from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge, it worked briefly, then booted me out again. Very frustrating ... I guess the only option is to wait it out?
  7. Pleased to say I was approved! PD September 14, 2023 AR 1 November 9, 2023 AR 2 December 22, 2024 Approval in Documents tab December 22, 2024
  8. Any more yeses? I've seen up to 7 September 2023 approved. This is achingly slow. I looked back at my posts from the beginning of November where I guessed it would be a couple more weeks to get to 14 September (my filing date), and I have to laugh. Me and my husband are writing out the request for assistance from his US senator now, though. If anyone's had any success with that line of enquiry, your advice would be welcomed.
  9. You filed 1 day before me! I am keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed... and trying to nudge my USC husband to email his congress person 😅
  10. I'm at 422 so far! Expecting another 3 weeks for a mid-September filing date. Fingers crossed it's before then, this wait is absolutely ridiculous (and many of us still have the NVC stage to look forward to..)
