Yes it is about the question on i-797, does he need the original? Or will a copy suffice? I know the 2 yr GC needs the original so I was wondering about the 10y one.

My apologies and thank you. I thought it was better to continue the old thread since it is exactly the same as @Hopeful2022’s situation. My brother got his 10yr GC in 2011 (expired 11/2021). All was well until he flew to the Philippines in 2016 and not come back. Fast forward to 2023, he is ready to come back and live here again (Mom & sisters are now USC). So we were looking for options and the safest route (but long) we found was petitioning him again because SB1 has low success rates. That was until we stumbled upon the thread I originally commented on. So we are following the advice posted in that thread —-specifically the ones by @Mike E (to submit i-90 ) and @Chancy (to fly back and go through CBP). 1. My question to the original poster or —anyone that may have an answer—was if we should add his physical address (PH) or just leave it blank and only add the US mailing address. Just curious if the i-90 application will get flagged because he is abroad. 2. Also, since the i-797 will be sent to the US address, can he bring a printed copy or should we mail him the original when we get it? Thank you to all that will be able to help. And my absolute kudos goes to @Hopeful2022 for giving updates on the rough but successful journey embarked.

Hello, i know this thread is from last year but my brother is in a similar situation. He is wanting to take the route you did, hoping for as favorable outcome as yours. (Thank you so much for your updates. And thank you to everyone who gave their advice). I do have a question, when you renewed your GC, did you put your PH address as the physical address or left it blank and just went with the US mailing address? Thanks so much!
